Usually boards like this have levels assigned according to how many posts you've posted. That is probably what the silver means.

This new forum software gives "karma points". We have 9 levels, as follows:

1 Never Posted 0
2 New Member 1
3 Member 30
4 Bronze Member 200
5 Silver Member 400
6 Gold Member 700
7 Platinum Member 1000
8 Diamond Member 2000
9 Supreme Member 5000

You earn one karma point per post. In the future, you will be able to earn karma points in the chat room... and maybe a few other ways. For example, we may choose to award karma points to the top visitors or perhaps you will be able to earn points for having your profile filled in. For now, 1 point per post.
