  • Summertime

I know this is the time of year we nudists cherish. The weather is perfect to enjoy the sun and able to get an all over tan. But my question is this.

Does it ever get too hot to be nude? I know with the heat wave that is fast approaching, we need to watch out for sun burns. But just now, I just walked outside, turned around and came back inside due to the heat. And tomorrow is supposed to get hotter.

To me, the best time to enjoy the outdoors is early in the mornings when the weather is cooler or later in the evenings, after the sun has gone down. Granted, I don't have a swimming pool. I suppposed if I did, I could have jumped in, but after getting out, the blustering heat would drive me indoors, or back in the pool.

So I ask, does it ever get too hot to be nude outside?

I don't think you'd want to be nude outside much in Death Valley in the summertime. Covering up to conserve body moisture becomes important to survival.

But in ordinary situations your question really is, "Does it ever get too hot to be outside?" The answer to that for me is yes, even though we have a pool that we can jump into. However I always tolerate heat better without clothes than with them.

This is for sure not our problem here in Belgium. We are in summertime, with cloudy rainy skies and temps. reaching a high of high 60's. Our summer really sucks this year!!

I'm sorry, maybe I watched too much Johnny Carson when growing up, but I can't get the thought out of my head so I have to ask...

        How hot is it?

        Rich

(And yes, I suppose it can get too hot outside, but not around here...)

i have found it to be uncomfortably warm a couple of times when attending a local nudist lodge. there i jump in the pool or enjoy an outdoor shower and air dry. i don't have the luxury of being nude outdoors at home. if i'm nude on the porch it's very late at night and cooler then. i'm one that can always find a way to keep cool.

I think it depends on where you live and what you are used to. People in Texas are used to more heat than someone in the Pacific NW, for example. In the Middle East and other areas where it is very hot, makes a difference. For me, the heat boils the arthritis out of my old bones and feals very good!

I guess to further clarify myself, I'm speaking of temperatures exceeding the 100 degree range. Today, it is supposed to be 104 where I live (Central California's San Joaquin Valley). In the desert areas, they are calling for 110 plus, and of course in Death Valley, 124. This is the type of temperatures I'm speaking of.

I love to be outside nude. There used to be a place not far from here where I could leave all my clothes in the car and just walk trails all over. But some gay folk came in there on an increasingly regular basis and that brought the law in so I can't go there any more. Oh well. All good things come to an end. Just have to find a new place.

I know just how you feel. Its not any better here in Reno. The 10 day forcast is for temps around 98-106. That will break a few records and with the thin air (due to elevation) it really feels hot. The pool water even gets a little too warm in the late afternoon. Time to go indoors.

We bought some baseball tickets for Thursday night, Spokane Indians. Now it turns out to be the hottest day of summer, over 100, and we'll be sitting in the sun.

Oh well, maybe it will cool off a little by the 7th inning.

                    Blessings

                    Bob

Yes it does get too hot! I live near Laguna Del Sol and went there today as I usually do on the 4th of July. It was over 100 degrees and very uncomfortable for me-even the pool was warm. I prefer tempuratures between 70-95 degrees so I guess I classify myself as a springtime nudist. Today is usually the last time I go to LDS for the year, it's just too hot.

Might be your best chance to introduce nudity to the stands - over 100 degrees - clothes should be medically prohibited. Maybe DocSurferDude can write you a script.

                          HI All,
The great British summer has arrived, you tell that by the fact that it has rained for 30 days straight. The weather men have predicted that there could be a couple of days with actual sunshine sometime next week, but they aren't prepared to make any bets on that. Too Hot!!! Not round here.
                          LOL
                          Cheers
                          Mick

You Americans are not going to believe this, but here I go anyway! My thermometer is reading 88F,near Edmonton,Alberta. And what am I doing? I am INSIDE writing this reply because it is to hot outside for me to lay out to work on my all over tan! I was actually tanning in early April when it was 55F and there was still snow on the ground.I cleaned the snow off of the tanning deck, and I ended up with a slight burn due to the reflective nature of the snow!! This is why you call us 'Crazy Canucks'!!!!
