In our high school we always swam naked, supposedly to protect the filters. HOwever the girls who did not swim with us wore bathing suits. = Still cant figure how their suits were filter-friendly.

There is actually a book out on E-mail etiquette.
Using all caps IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING.
If you want to emphasize something either use bold letteringor italics.

There is also a book to figure out all of the contractions the kids use to avoid adults knowing what the heck they are talking about.

I remember our college radio station's UPI teletype pounding out wire copy in all caps on massive reams of cheap brown paper. It was so loud we built an almost-soundproof closet for it to bang away in. We'd rip off a section and read the copy during our hourly newsbreaks. All caps, and all the foreign or difficult names would be spelled out phonetically - Lech Walesa (LECK VAH-WHEN'-SAH). And we'd write our own copy in double spaced caps too - it was considered easier for reading on the air.

UPI doesn't even really exist anymore, it went belly up and the name was acquired by the Moonies as part of their fake news empire.

I'm not even sure if college radio stations bother belonging to wire services anymore in this age of Google News and blogs. But it was cool 25 years ago to be a college student who was also a contributer to a national news service.

I imagine news copy is now presented on screen in perfectly justified auto-corrected print.

Yes the part of the TOS that "All Cap's" fall under is "complaints", and the moderators act on violations, complaints, or posts that get out of line, argumentive, or off topic.

Search the Posts, there is many about typing in all caps', and every group, Yahoo, Windows Live, and most user groups and portals have posts on All Caps' and do not allow it.
