My opinion is biased. I never bothered to check into any other resorts. We have people coming in to WTR from all over the world. Most have been to many others and prefer WTR. Their comments led us to stay with WTR.

WhiteTail is based on the 'best' of Caliente, and several other resorts. Open 24/7/365
Management is receptive to ALL guest and members, and attentive to their needs. Owner has been to many other resorts to learn/see what they have to offer, and is active in AANR.

If you want a good time, try to get in for BeachFest-8-2-07, I think 4-day affair, starts on Thursday of that week.

I have never been to WTP but have friends that have been there and they all say it is well run, very well appointed, lots of fun and well managed. I really don't think you can go wrong going to WTP.

I think that you should check each club's website and determine what amenities are important to you. Also, you may want a clothing optional experience as opposed to a nudist clothes free experience. Check the rules posted on each website. I am a member of White Tail, but each club offers something different. The question is....which club most closely meets your basic criteria?

Turtle Lake is great place, open all year and looks like a state park, very large. It has a small lake and an indoor pool. I have heard good things about white tail but never been there.
