Nude Males

Hi all,

I was just wondering, as I look through the other posts in these forums on clothesfree.com. Why are all most all of the members Male members? I was just curious to this fact. It seems to me that the females and children are missing. I thought nudists come as a family... I haven't read to much on the importances of family nudity, of course most of what I read is important to me because I am a nudist. And I want to see more active nudist camps,resorts,etc; appear through out the United States.

I would also like to see the laws of the land changed to accomidate the nudist lifestyle also...If thereis anyway that I can do to help support the nudist lifestyle movement, please tell me what I need to do.

If there is anyone who can answer my question as to why there is more male members than female members on clothesfree.com forums? I would like to here from them... I am just curious...

I dont agree I think that although there seems to be more men than women, I believe that lots of wifes/girlfriends are signing on under there husbands log in. I also think that these same gf/wifes are reading the posts. I do agree that there are a lot of males into nudism, but to say very few females is counter to what I have seen at swims and such..

I have to agree with you on this one Steve...if one looks at the number of Visitors who come to read...I am sure that there is a fairly large population that is "Female and Younger Adults of Both Genders"...

Nudism is something thought that does seem to attract more males than females as a whole...I believe that if weren't for the media "Preaching to Us" we would have an easier time with "Body Acceptance" Media does have a way with degrading the human body via telling us what we are "Expected to look like" versus what is actually healthy for us...for those whose idea of a perfect body for us females is a Size 4 have a lot to learn. I for one would not be willing to give up the size I wear for such size or something remotely close to it in range, such as a Size 6, 8, or even 10 [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif[/img]

When one has a chance to look at these females who wear such sizes, all that is required to see where this expectation arises from are the many magazines on the bookstands, grocery stores and media such as telvision and movies...and a visit into their personal life to see that some of these clothing sizes are far more unhealthy than someone who wears a Size 12, 14, or even larger...size of ones breasts, butt, and any other missed body part I failed to mention in this post to see what in reality, looks best on us [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif[/img]

Yeah I really think the people who censor and monitor material that is shown on tv shouldnt fuzz over harmless nudity as much and instead go after all the sex and violence and get people like MTV and the media at large to be careful of what they say to children and teens because some of what they say is uncalled for and alot of their ideas and products can really hurt people and theres alot of proof to this so I really think these people need to see what is really important and only censor and monitor those things and just leave most stuff alone and just like put warnings on some tv shows and let parents take care of most of what their kids watch because thats really their job, not the tv companies or the medias, although they do need to tone down on the violence on tv and really need to tell people like on MTV to stop showing all these degrading, useless shows that give people wrong ideas, because I mean I know we have alot of rights and freedoms here but theres no reason kids need to see half this crap and really nudity and the nudist lifestyle is better for them than a bunch of violent tv shows and all that reality crap MTV and the local channels put on. I mean if all the activists groups can continuously ***** about how shows have too much of this or that in them then we can complain too.

As a general rule about 60-70% of all "card carrying" nudists are male. (I don't make up the culture, that's just how it is.)

Then if you look at who posts on bulletin boards, (esp. those where rough and tumble debate takes place) although there are exceptions, they tend to be strongly male and adult. Bulletin boards are NOT a proportional cross section of society by even the wildest stretch.

You won't find many children at all. What few you do find will be on the Young Naturists forum. (And some of those I don't believe are who they claim.)

Then there are the ladies and kids who log in uder the father/boyfriend/husband's ID.

Combine all those built in biases inherent to bulletin boards and nudism and you get what you see here.

I see your point Steve, I was just curious as to why there were more males than females on the forums. I did not realize that they were using their bf/husbands/brothers & fathers user names to visit the forums.... Thank you for your in-put to this question that I have posted.

As to the other thing that i've posted... What can we do as nudist to change the laws of the land, to accept the lifestyle of the nudist/naturist?

Perhaps there are a lot of women who choose to "lurk" on this site, rather than join in the discussions. My wife, for example, enjoys being nude with me on occasion, at home, but doesn't care for reading or posting on any web sites.

There are several things you can do. The Naturist Action Committee is always looking for volunteers as well as donations. They are the leaders in fighting for our rights. They are a part of the Naturist Society but they get no funds from their memberships and exist only on donations.

I've been a volunteer and still work with them here in my state quite often.

They also put out Alerts and Advisories which let us all know what is going on politically across the US. You will find all such posts on the "My Nude Life" website. Sometimes they ask you to write to politicians and this is a huge help all in itself.

You can also write to the local papers about situations mentioned in those Alerts. Letters to the Editor let the locals know what is going on and how you feel about it. Right now there is legislation in Virginia that NAC is dealing with.

You can join AANR. They also fight for us and currently are involved in trying to get a legal nude beach in Maryland. AANR also allows you to donate money directly to their Governmental Affairs account.

So there you go! You can get involved directly or send letters or donate money to those who are already in there fighting, whatever level is best for you.
