  • Cypress Cove or Calienette

My wife and I are planning a trip to Florida. And she has agreed to stay at a nudist resort finally. We are both 35 and she has been a home nudist for awhile. My question is which resort is better for a first time visitor like her. She also likes lots of activities. Any help would be great thanks

We've been to both. Cypress gets the nod over Caliente by a wide margin, especially for a first-time nudist.

I concur. Cypress Cove is more conservative, I would say that's better for a first time visitor.

Also , in terms of cost, Cypress is lower in cost.

Also, there seems to be more to do outside of the park at Cypress -- Disney isn't far, downtown Kissimmee is actually pretty neat, and there are some pretty good restaurants near the Cove.

      I concur with graygeese....

We have been to both resorts, and our preference goes to Cypress Cove. It is very relaxing and low key.
If you get a room only,(no apartment) get it on the second floor.
And there is lots to do in the area.

The activities vary - some sedentary -- but they do have a Saturday night dance, and a Monday night cabaret-style dance. There's always something going on there.

            Enjoy.

Well, one is a family *nudist* resort and the other is an upscale, overpriced clothing-optional country club for rich snobbish folk and swingers.

                You decide

I've been to both, and both seemed very nice and friendly. The woman at the entrance gate at Caliente did double charge me for the grounds fee, though. Told me my credit card wouldn't go through, and ask me to pay in cash, which I did. When I got my credit card bill, I found the charge did go through.

Lake como and Paradise-lake are also great option.
All 4 of the resorts are less then 1 hour driving from each other.
                    Have a great vacation

Definitely Cypress Cove...especially for a first timer. Very low key and relaxing. It's one my favorites! Wish I could be there now......

As members of Cypress Cove we are gping to say Cypress Cove. Caliente is not a nudist resort. It is an adult clothing optional resort. The club is beautiful, but very expensive and does cater to swinging jsut like Paradise Lakes in the evenings. If you go there and your wife is a first timer, she could get put off by the lifestyle. Cypress is a wonderful friendly resort with upscale ammenties. You want more of a rustic feel, lake Como is a great place also. Depends what your taste is. Cypress or Lake Como will give you and your wife an enjoyable stay and make her comfortable where she will want to go back.

Caliente is really first class with a great pool, restaurant, grounds, etc, and we have never been bothered by anyone there. The dances are, like Paradise, mostly clothed and we feel uncomfortable so we don't go to the dances. Cypress is very laid back, much older, but still a pretty nice place. If this is your wife's first time, I'd vote for Cypress but if she was a veteran Caliente is well worth a visit.
