Anyone been skinnydipping lately?

Yeah.......on Saturday the 8th, we went to San Onofre Beach. Then after the party ended last night, at our home, I stripped and got into the pool for a while........then took a shower in our outdoor shower.

Yep! Last Friday in a natural pool at the base of a waterfall where a National Forest trail crosses a mountain stream. Pretty cold, though!

And again Saturday and Sunday at Carolina Foothills Resort.

On, July 1st and 2nd, I was at Serendipity park. I did my share of skinnydipping and sunning. This weekend I am going to SC for the canuding trip that travelites is hosting. It's gonna be great!!

We had to tear down our pool for the expansion, so no skinny dipping this year, at least here at home.

I skinny dip frequently early in the morning at a nearby public lake. I hike in the AM to avoid others, if I am hot, I usually take a short dip.

It is quite refreshing, and I air dry in about 5-10 minutes.

Now that we are finally having some really warm weather, I go skinny-dipping nearly every day in our pool out back. Ah, the summertime!

yeah, a few times in Lake Superior, it actually wasnt too cold, water temp 60-65.

Yep, just this morning in the river after the pool ... come to think of it that's every morning this time of year.

My recollection of Lake Superior is that it is the coldest of the Great Lakes. When I was in Duluth, I was told that 'only crazy people swim in Lake Superior' as the currents can change in a minute and the warm water can drop back into the 40's F.

Hee hee. Yup, the lady and I are just back from a week in Vermont. The weather was nonstop sun, and we were on the lookout for skinny-dippin' opportunities. The score:

Glen Lake twice, once by hiking in and once canoeing to a remote point on the shore.

High Pond, in Half Moon Pond State Park.

Lake Champlain, near Dresden Narrows. We canoed to the point where we swam.

The Punch Bowl, on the Mad River in Warren (or is it Waitsfield?)

The Ledges.

Considering that we spent 3 days at a bluegrass music festival with no possibilities of getting bare, I think we did pretty well.


"Superior, it's said, never gives up its dead." That's because a dead body in Lake Superior doesn't generate any internal gas that causes it to float. The water is too cold. Too Much Information?
