• Something you don't see every day

At about 10am I was walking past the entrance to the Law Courts Building in Macquarie Street, Sydney and a woman had just sat down outside the entrance and removed all her clothes. There were a few turned heads but she was just sitting there in the sunshine. I wonder whether she was trying to make a point? If so, she didn't have any banners or anything with her. I also wonder how long it was before security got onto her.

Brave woman. Maybe she is early for a nude protest, or maybe there was a nude protest and she was invited a day later. Let us know what you find out. It will be interesting.

maybe it was one of those crazy tv shows everyone is sooo in love with.
but then you aussies, who knows , i worked with a guy who was from there, he hoped to return home at retirement,he was the kind of guy that would spray weedkiller on his own lawn and accuse his nighbor of doing it. or slip over and put nitrate on someones lawn and watch them mow it every five days.
i really miss that guy,a man after my own heart.

Maybe in that part of aulstralia nudity isnt a big issue or maybe they just left her alone because the way she was being nude wasnt against their laws, because usually you have to be doing something lewd or sexual or it has to be some sort of political protest which being in front of a court building it probably was. Anyways I dont think people thought too much about it, now if she got up and started walking around and going into some of the buildings then maybe theyd question it.

Bravo for her. What if every nudist showed up at their local courthouse at a set time. Probably could make a national statement. Wonder how many nudists are out there?

With apologies to Arlo Guthrie:

You know, if one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and won't take notice of him.

And if two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both religious fanatics and won't take notice of either of them.

And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking into their local courthouse, taking all their clothes off and walking out.

They may think it's an organization.

And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day, I said fifty people a day walking into their local courthouse, taking their clothes off and walking out. And friends they may think it's a movement.

And that's what it is, the Aussie Naturist Anti-Body Shame Movement, and all you got to do to join is drop your pants the next time it comes around on the guitar.

-Mark

One thing "security" wouldn't need to do, is search her for concealed weapons.

Well, haven't heard anything more about it.

The reason why security hadn't done anything was because it looked like she had only been there for about 20 seconds, and security probably hadn't seen her yet. I was busy with some business colleagues otherwise I might have stopped and investigated some more.
