Some "astonishing" progress has been made. The other night, Sunday, my gf and I rented three movies. We took breaks between each one. We were getting ready to watch our last movie 'Munich' around 8:30. I didn't feel like wearing clothes so I came in my room, undressed, and wrapped a blanket around me. I went back out in the living room and my gf saw me wrapped up and said, "OH! You're nakie!". I said yes and laid on the couch like normal under a blanket. She had no problem with it but we only got 1/2 way through the movie because we got sleepy. So the next night I'm taking a shower and yell out to her we need to finish the movie. She agrees and I come out in a towel. I go back in my room, grab the blanket, and head out to the recliner in the living room. She knew I was nude but didn't say anything and didn't mind as long as I'm covered up under a blanket. So it was pretty nice to be able to do that now.

Has anyone else made any sort of progress with significant others?

Yeah! My wife is sleeping while naked, now. And thinks little of it to romp around the house naked while the door is open....she does check to make sure no one is on the sidewalk though.

Try introducing her to the idea of "naked movie night". Any movie of HER choice (subject yourself to the chick flicks) as long as she joins you in nothing but a blanket.

And....careful not to turn it overtly sexual, or else she'll assume you equate skin with sex and trying to explain your love for nudism might be difficult after that.

The best way is to show that going nude has nothing to do with sex which it doesent I found that the more I go nude the better my wife is with it. when i first started going nude she would never look at me now its more normal .At night we started giving each outher back rubs i can get her to take her top off small steps

Patience is all I can tell you. Last year at this time if we went to a nude campground, my wife stayed in the camper clothed. While now she is come a long ways and is mostly comfortable at the campground we go to being nude.

Small steps and no pressure is the key.

This is somewhat topical for me at the moment.

After many years of being single, rather to my surprise, I have a girlfriend. We've known each other for two years as we both sing in a choir. One of the first conversations we'd had was after she'd found my website, and the reference to my 'other interests' which was a link to the British Naturism website. So one of the very first things she found out about me was that I am a naturist!

Two years later, we started dating, and the very first time we had breakfast together, I was sitting at the table starkers. The second evening we spent together, again, I was naked. And so it went on.

One evening last week we decided to watch a DVD (her choice!) and her comment to me before we watched it was "Well, are you going to get naked then?". I needed no encouragement, and she then appeared in a dressing gown. Halfway through the film, I suggested she might find it more comfortable to take it off so she did....

The last time we had breakfast together, both of us were naked....

We've also fixed a date for her to come along to a naturist swim.

"Naked Movie Night" is a great idea. My wife and I have done it every weekend since we met. We put down a blanket on the floor with a couple of pillows and a spare blanket to cover us if we get cold. We camp on the floor because the couch is a little too small.

Oil massages are also a good excuse to get naked. Unfortunately, my wife has been addicted to them for 8 years...

We also frequenly have "nude dinners", especially in the summer. (Hint: if your significant one is reluctant, ask for one for your birthday or other holiday)

Naked movie night was attempted. I had a blanket on me and she was in a bathrobe. She said she does not like being naked at all, except showers. She's just not comfortable with her body. I'm cool with that, but if we get married, we'll have Naked Movie nights often I feel.

Just my thing and just hers.

Congrats JoshuaZ! My wife and I had a great nakie dinner while on vacation and now she is becoming very comfortable with doing things in the kitchen post shower and sleep unclothed.

It takes time and let her grow at her own pace.

Congrats JoshuaZ. Like everyone here has said "baby steps". I first told my girlfriend about my interest in being naked and that i started out sleeping naked and then i just progressed into a habitual thing (especially since i'm on my own now, i moved into my own place almost 1 year ago). At first i just went with out a shirt when she came over, and then with just boxers. At that point she started to become shy and asked me to put some clothes on. She thought it was morally wrong (being raised as a strict catholic she thought that nudity outside of marriage {as well as sex} was a sin, I myself am catholic as well but i never really saw anything wrong with nudity but was brought up as nudity being bad). Alright, now i'm just rambling. Anyways, i explained to her that nudity and sex do not always go hand it hand, just because two people are naked doesn't mean that they will end up having sex. Then i brought up the point how babies like to run around naked because it feels good and clothes were just confining (aha - a point a woman in modern society know all to well about... that clothing is confining and uncomfortable. Take bras for example [at least some think so i have yet to meet a woman that liked to wear bras all the time]) I think that's the point where it kinda fell into place. So the next few weeks i still kept on my shorts just to keep her comfortable. One day she comes over early and i'm still sleeping and of course i'm naked. She was kind of shocked and my retort was "well i told you i slept naked" So i got up and started walking around my apartment naked. at first she kept her distance and was a little uncomfortable but she then got use to it as we sat down to watch some TV later on in the day and she started to cuddle on the couch. I told her to get comfortable and she got up... and took of her bra. I giggle a little and said to myself "baby steps". As the weeks passed i was naked all the time when we were at my aparment together and as the time progressed she took off more and more clothing. I cheered her on as she would always cover her self with a blanket or something because she still had some reservations about it, but agreed wholey that it was much more comfortable to be naked. Now as soon as she steps through the door she goes straight into the bed room, shuts the blinds and takes off all her clothes, most of the time she beats me! lol.

anyway, that's history, but know i'm just trying to get her to come with me to do some public nudity, such as a resort or something to that nature. She has some body acceptance issues though and does not want to go out anywhere. She is also afraid to be known to other people if she did go to some nearby resort. But slowly she's progressing and it has been great. She doesn't like to be at her home anymore (she lives with her parents who are strict catholics) because she can not wander around naked. lol.

I guess that's all for now, i just wanted to share my story and tell you that i know what you're going through and i hope it offers some... umm... hope. lol. Best of luck!

Wow, we must be dating long lost twins or something. My girlfriend was raised a strict catholic, I'm catholic also, but like you. She is a CNA but does not want to see me nude until we are married. She's not comfortable being nude at all do to a small deformity in her chest. She doesn't even sleep nude or anything. We've discussed resorts and she won't go at all. She won't go nude in front of me at all either, and I accept that. I also had my own apartment for 2.5 years and was nude all the time. She caught me once and I had to wrap up in a blanket VERY fast. I didn't know my door was open!

Please pardon my ignorance: CNA ? I tried lots of initials & acronyms, but none seem to fit.

In any event, I hope your comfort with your own body may encourage her to be as comfortable with hers. Happy trails.
