  • Nude cruises and children

I have seen photos of nude cruises, but never kids as part of the passengers. Are they allowed?

I have thought about taking a vacation on a nude cruise and will probly take my daughters with us.

    JUST CURIOUS.

Good Question! My wife and I would love to take a nude cruise some year in the future, but we can't realistically dump our kids off on someone else while we are gone for several days. This is the same problem we have with going to our nearby club...there is nothing for the kids to do, and we don't want to just dump them off on someone else for that weekend!

What do parents do with children when they go on a non-nudist cruise?

Well Greenman, the best thing to do would be to contact those who sponsor the cruises. Some cruises are generally adults-only and will not have any activities for children making it no fun for them. My guess is that if there are no rules specifically barring them, they are welcomed, but again, such cruises may not have activities for them.

Usually only family cruises have things for children to do.

I've been on the last two Carnival nude cruises, and what you say is pretty much true... there wouldn't be much for kids to do. I don't think children are barred, because I did see a toddler or two, it's just that the "winter" cruises occur during the school year and this tends to default the cruises to 'adults only,' whether intentional or not.

I know many people do enjoy the quieter, child-free atmosphere for a week, including myself, but I wouldn't presume to deny nudists with children this pleasure by having them barred. You could ask B-N T&T about this on their toll-free number: 800-743-0405.

MOBoy, Were there lots of unescorted single ladies in their 20's to 30's on these cruises?

I did see numerous attractive young ladies dancing without guys near the live musicians in the evenings, but were they really unescorted? I don't know; I don't care to dance much either, so maybe their guys were sitting back, like me.

OTOH, out of 2100+ people there must be a few as you describe, but generally the population is 40-50+ I'd say, you know, the empty-nest crowd. And lots of retirees.

BTW everybody, I just got a mailing (postmarked Feb. 10) that says only 130 cabins remain available on the Legend for the 8-day cruise next February 7 from Ft. Lauderdale.

MoBoy thanks for the report. I am enough of an optimist that I would presume a lady dancing alone and not wearing a wedding band is fair game until she tells me otherwise.

But I meet nice girls all the time in my hiking club and some of them openly profess a love for skinnydipping. Some ladies are closer to becoming nudist than we might realize. It's just that their openess to nudity is not tattooed to their chests or is it? If they have a tee shirt on you would not know until you ask!

You know what the BeeGees sang, back in 1978?
                      "I'm a dancing man, and I just can't lose."
                      It's true. Try it.
And plenty of dancing girls have what it takes to try nudism, too, given a bit of encouragement.
                      A win-win situation.

                        Trailscout,

I assume that your hiking club is not a nudist group?

I would enjoy being a part of a hiking club, can you P/M info to me?

                        Thanks,
                        JRo

JRo, there are several such hiking clubs in this area. And while none of them are nudist, from time to time, you will meet people who would consider skinnydipping under the right circumstances. I will send you the particulars as you requested.
