I had a bit of a problem with "the mayor of Haulover". I thought he came across just a bit as a dirty old man, with his comments. Here we are trying to convince folks that there's nothing sexual to casual nudity, and he's admitting that he enjoys seeing the naked women on the beach. Poor person to interview, I thought.

Probably an inappropriate person to interview but for his comments. We all enjoy seeing others nude, as we also enjoy being seen nude but that is not the focus on the nudity needs.

If the root of nudity was better examined and discussed possibly this would have been a better show.

I thought the whole piece was an honest, rendition of one whoman's 2 nude experiences. It was fun to listen to and I think public radio is a good media outlet for such a piece.

I have been to Haulover 6 times. For a week each time. That makes over 30 days on that beach.
I share that information just so you know I have a little experience in that setting.

Larry (the mayor of Haulover) is a great guy. Don't let a few isolated comments confuse you. He really is a honest to goodness Nudist.
We (nudists) are not Clones. WE are not all alike. We have different reasons and different opinions. Sure, Larry may not be the perfect example of a person to promote nudism. But he is there almost every day of the year. And if anyone knows what goes on at Haulover, it's Him.
Non Believers can read whatever they want into his comments. But like he said. "That's their problem".
Judith doesn't understand a lot of things. But she does try to keep an open mind. And it's interesting how she gradually becomes more comfortable with her body and nudity.
I wish she had done a better job of explaining her doubts and questions. But like most textiles, she usually only asked the questions, without actually looking for the answer. And if she did get an answer, she seemed not to believe it anyway.
It's like, if you don't like liver. You can't understand how anyone can eat it. But if you Love liver, you can't understand how anyone could dislike it.
For some it just takes a taste. For others, their mind is made up.
