I was glad to see a California Nude Beach make the list but...we've been there and it really doesn't compare to Orient Beach, St. Martin/St. Maarten, French West Indies.

It's hard for me to imagine how Orient Beach wouldn't be in anyone's top ten.
It's been quite a few years now since we were at Couples in Ocho Rios, so perhaps they've renovated the island. Back then there wasn't any beach worth mentioning. It was a great place to be, and was where we had our first socially nude introduction, but the poor beach was disappointing.Comment

I have been to a few of those beaches and I agree with the masses from above. Orient Beach is my favorite nude beach it may not be as lush and picture perfect as say Little Beach or as easy to get to as Haulover, but the water and the people on St. Martin make up for all the other short comings.Comment

I probably should not even comment on this topic as my nude beach visits have been few and far between. Since I have never been outside the US (even in the military) I cannot comment on Orient or other locations listed with the exception of Little Beach.
On our recent trip I visited 3 beaches which are nude friendly. With the excellent directions provided by our friend FireProf, we visited San Onofre. I enjoyed the beach and friendly people we met (Captain Jack) I believe. The only negative to the beach is the rocky shore, other than that, it is great. I rate San Onofre as the beach with the easiest access of the beaches we visited.
The second beach visited was Red Sand Beach on Maui. I have to rate this beach as the most picturesque of all but with difficult access. It has been noted that nudist frequent this beach but on my two visits I did not observe any nudity. Definitely worth the hike to see.
The third and last beach visited was Little Beach in Makena Maui. You have to do a little climbing to access it but it is not nearly as bad at RSB. I have to admit that this was my favorite beach of the trip. The water was warm and clear and the beach was clean, warm and 100% sand. I found it difficult to get out of the water as it was perfect. If I ever get back to Hawaii I would definitely spend more time at this location.Comment

Some people have different opinions about it but I have to continue to suggest Baker Beach in San Francisco. The major drawback is of course the undependable weather. Some days you can consult the weather reports others you might as well flip a coin.
If it's a summer day, a weekend and the weather is hot and sunny you can expect to lie down among a few hundred people who are mostly nude. If you prefer smaller crowds go on a weekday.
The views of the the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin county, and the boats going into the Bay are always breathtaking.
Nudity is totally legal in the northern section of the beach. And it's so convenient:
right within a major city (# 29 MUNI bus stops right at the entrance to the southern parking lot, northern parking lot is right above the nude section.)
