• Penis Puppets?

Has anyone seen this Play in Boston called Penis Puppets? If so Please let me know what it is all about. In the ads on TV it shows two naked guys running around the stage holding their penises and the audience is lauging histarically(?).

My wife and I were surfing the TV in our hotel room one night when we came across a show that had the two performers you mention doing their act.

The act is simple. Two naked guys on stage take turns manipulating their genitals into various odd contortions to represent faces.

My reaction pretty much followed this sequence:

I can't believe I'm seeing this. . . .That must hurt. . . .Why would anyone get up in public and do this?. . . .Why would anyone pay to see this? . . . Why am I watching this? . . . Let's see what else is on.

My wife's reaction was less complimentary.

I read in our paper (when the show came to a nearby community) that the live audience includes a lot of women. Sort of a girls night out thing I guess.

Luvnaturism,
Thanks, I couldn't for the life of me figure out whast the hell they were doing on stage like that. In the promo's for it of course they don't show anything below the waist. Now I know why, it's a waste of time.

I saw them on an HBO show that I am not to proud of watching, however, sick as it was...and I do mean sick, it was the funniest contortionist act I have ever seen or likely will ever see again. All I can say for sure is the two guys are clearly exhibitionist's and must have too much time "in their hands."

Yep, the show is called "Puppetry of the Penis" and it originated in Australia.

There's a bit of a blokey tradition in Australia of young guys getting drunk and doing things like dressing up in drag - and folding their genitals to make shapes, sort of like shadow puppetry. Don't ask me why, I'm not into it myself. But two guys decided to make a show out of it, and the show has become internationally popular - so popular that they actually have trained other guys to perform it so that it can be running in several places at once.

I haven't seen the show 'cause it doesn't appeal to me. I understand it has no real plot and just involves the guys making various shapes with their genitals, much of which is projected on a large screen. As luvnaturism suggests, it's a big hit with girls on hens nights and similar. I doubt the show would have much appeal to most naturists. And I can assure you that not all Australians are into this sort of thing!
There is an official website at www.puppetryofthepenis.com

Aussiebeachboy -

We were in Sydney just recently. What a great place. One of the world's beautiful cities, friendly to tourists, and all sorts of fun things to do. We loved it, and hope to return.

I guess in this specific arena...SIZE DOES MATTER.

Has anyone determined if these guys are circumcised?

P.S. Don't anyone dare call my sense of humor "cutting!"

Hey FloridaDavid, I don't object to the show at all - it's just not the sort of thing that appeals to me.

I don't find nudity in itself particularly funny, and as I gather, a lot of the appeal of the show is to people who find it really hilarious that these guys are making shapes with their genitals. Each to their own - but, like you, I certainly wouldn't pay to see it. Just as I wouldn't pay to see a show of origami, or a show of people making hand puppets.

Aussie, good point. Well taken. I wouldn't spend my hard earned money on any of those either. Have a great day "downunder".

Hey Guys,

I checked out their link...and from what I saw, provided the price was right I probably would go and see it...life is to short to always be serious...and sometimes it is the small or unusual stuff that makes even nudity seem rather amusing

Bet a lot of you guys would be willing to do what they are doing for money if the price was right too

"CRAP TV" sure is a good description. When I stopped watching TV about five years ago, the release from bondage was glorious!
