What was your partner's reaction when you told them you enjoyed naturism?

If you met your partner not through the naturist scene, when you told them you enjoyed naturism what was their reaction? Were they stunned and dump you? Or were they understanding? Or better still, did you persuade them to join you as a naturist?

I wouldn't really say I was a full time naturist. I just enjoy going nude in saunas(ones at UK music festivals or spas/saunas over in Germany for example)
, and going on nude beaches in Europe during a holiday.

My last girlfriend (Linda) not that I'm mentioning any names, was absolutely aghast when I told her. We were together for about six months befoe she told me (During an intimate moment!) that she couldn't cope with other women seeing me naked.

It wasn't long after that our reltionship started to fall apart, oh well it was nice while it lasted.

My wife was fine when i told her and very interested in joining me.we was not married then,took her a few months to get the idea into her head its just the norm, but in the end she hasnt looked back and since that time we have bought our daughter up as a nudist since birth,she is 14yrs old now and still loves it.

Wife thought it was funny at first. Then she thought resorts were some place people went just to "gawk" at nude people. Then for our 5th anniversary We went to Paradise Lakes. We only had reservations for 3 days and then we were going to head to the beach. She packed 3 suitcases to our room at Paradise. First hour she was topless end of first day completely Nude. At the end of the third day she didnt want to put her clothes back on. We tried to keep our room for 3 more nights but they were booked. Basically once we got to the textile hotel We were bummed for the rest of the trip. We have been nudist every since and have even taken 3 different cpls to a resort here in Indiana. For their first experience now there are 9 of us who on Memorial day Weekend no matter where we are meet up and go to a resort here.

I didn't really tell her I just spend a great deal of my time in the nude, she just looks funny at me. She won't think of visiting a nudist resort, I went by my self once which I thought was wonderful. I loved pracing around the resort, going nude in the pool and hot tub, even playing tennis in the nude was fabulous, it felt so much better in the nude. My wife won't go, I wish she would change her mind because I know once she tried it she would love it to.

I agree with Nakedmans. The daily prancing is the best part of being at a resort. Usually we prance morning and afternoon. Not so often at night, but the occasional moonlight prance can be a lot of fun.

My wife knew of my interest in nudism prior to our marriage. In fact, I wanted to go to a nude beach on our honeymoon but it did not work out. She tolerates my nudity and does not have a problem with me attending resorts, beaches etc. as long as she does not have to go. She did accompany me to San Onofre but she was not aware it was a nude beach until she saw naked bodies. She was ok with it but would never consider being nude in the presence of another person. No hope in changing her mind. I will be the Lone Nude Ranger for the remainder of my days.

she wasn't yet my wife, just my fiancée, when i got into it. she knew i slept nude, and liked the feeling of being nude, but that's it. one day, i decided to go "buff bowling" in a nearby suburb. she told me later she thought i had turned gay. i explained that part of the interest was to try and overcome some hangups with pornography and lust, and she appreciated that, but still thought i had turned gay.

now i'm nude almost all the time at home, and she doesn't mind. she doesn't often join me (except to sleep), but she accepts it as normal for me. one of these days she'll come over to "our side." i keep hoping.

when I sat my wife down and told her that I wanted to go around the house nude when could she looked at me odd , but said it was ok with her . the first few times i went nude she would not look directly at me when we talked but now its like its normal even sometimes she forgets that I am nude. she even has spent one or two nights in the summer topless watching tv together.

My wife was a little up in the air about at frist saying it was my thing, then she has been nude around the house from time too time.More topless then anything I keep telling her she looks great nude, and I thing so very much.I get up nude and think I have to put something on she says it ok. So they may dicker at frist but they come around it matter of time, think after they see how you like it.

My wife was intrigued when I first talked to her about nudism (while we were still dating.) Her Mom and herself would occasionally walk around nude after showering and leave doors open when changing while she was growing up; so she was not unfamiliar with social nudity. When she moved in I was frequently nude around her; and she naturally and easily joined in.

My wife thought I 'lost it' when I just dropped my shorts in the living room one day. I guess I sent the message too harshly, but she still thought I lost it.

Over time, she has become accepting of it, within reason (kids). She even joins me when the house is empty, at times. She even skinny dipped several times, when the kids were gone.

Now, with a full house (Mother in Law, 2 Sons {18/23} and Grandson {8}), the chances are almost null that she will join me. We got rid of the pool, due to the remodel, so not much chance for skinny dipping. The new extension is large enough I can remain nude and be able to step outside at times.

Oh well, maybe one day we can be by ourselves, but not in the near future.
