I have been a closet nudist all my adult life, I never knew about social nudity till the mid 80's and never checked it out till the mid 90's, you people out there who have been nudists for ever and fear the camera, you make me want to go back to the closet, there are thousands of magazines and books and broshures and videos, about public nudity, why would anyone pay to come to this site to use your photo in a porn site or a gay site, theres not enough out there for there perverted minds, they need a picture of a guy with a beer belly or a woman with a large hip to come here and use there photo, I know these people are sick, lets use our heads a little here. I love being naked and my being here should prove that and if I don't mind being naked here then where, you people call yourselves nudists or naturists, but you are ashambed to be naked in a nudist web site well get back in the closet. You go to a beach where beleive it or not there are cameras, some not all that freindly, but you worry about a picture you post on this web site, you need to think of what you consider safe, you run around public in the nude and you worry about this web site. I think we should all post our pictures nude, we claim to be nudists. Enough said, I will post more nude pictures I guess a little less frontal, some of you really scare me I want to be a real nudist and then you who claim to be nudists are affraid to be!!!!!!!!!!!!! go figure!!!

RiverRat,
Iv'e read your posts on the other two photo threads, and I have to ask, "What's the fuss?".
You seem to have your towel in a bunch because more/all of the participants here have not posted nude photo's of themselves. Since when is it a requirement for someone to put nude pictures of themselves on the internet to be considered a nudist? I have seen too many nude pictures on the net that I most certainly would not classify as nudist photos.
Also, why is it so important to, as a nudist, see pictures of other people in the buff?
I don't condemn you for posting your picture, I think it's great! But please don't condemn others who choose not to submit their pictures.

Hello Riverrat: I don't remember seeing any photos of you? Why was it that you removed them? I agree with you that it is sad that someone would take an incent photo and use it somewhere else, turning the meaning around to make it appear as something it was not. Those people should be dealth with one way or another. But for those who say they are nudist. Some talk the talk. but do They walk the walk? Alot of people say they are nudist but are they really? Being a Nudist is not as some think it is, it is alot more than just having a nude photo on the web, anyone can do that. You can see alot of trash on the web these days. But posting photos I for example have some in this forum at least they are clean Nude Photos. At least My Wife thinks so, and if they were not I am sure that Corky would have them removed. But also my neighbor and the ones at work that know me know that I am a Naturist. I even have the TAN Bumper sticker on the back of my vehicle on the bumper. I wonder what people think of that? Some who join these Forums are just looking for a cheap thrill and when they don't find it they move on to something else. Maybe this is the only place that some will learn about the birds and the bees? That is why I posted in the photo Forum - Where are the photos? - There are no photos. It's not that I just want to look at naked people in photos or anything but why post in there without a photo of something..Go Figure. No pun intended. The human body is a miracle and we should be proud of what we have, whether we're fat or skinny, disfigured, short or tall. If we are Nudist, be proud of it. And do what you can to help other see what it is. Bye... P.S. Hope my photos offends no one. And you can always put writing across your photo. That Fort Desoto image is what the bumper sticker says. If anyone would like one Email me.

Thank you ben, I have given it much thought and decided to send a differant picture a little less frontal, some seemed to have a problem with the other, my intention is not to offend but put the point out if we choose to be naked in public some will see us as perverts, some as something else, but if we send a picture to a nudist site, we are just nudists shareing are nudity. sorry if that offends some, some of you go places where nudity is not allowed, others go to places where none nudists are around, call them textiled, whatever, but you are affraid or ashambed to put a picture in a nudist site, well shame on you, you hippocrit, you put your body on desplay, in non nudist areas but you feel that your body at a nudist site is bad, I guess I will be out of the closet before you. A photo here hurts no one, it's just a photo in an area where there are many nude photos, the photos of freedom, I think we should all add our photo to the cause, people you don't even know at the beach or club or park, probably have your photo, it's on there coffee tables or home videos or family albums, you choose to be naked in public, you are in public, you are in a photo somewhere, if this is what you choose, face it, whats a picture here going to hurt.

Here's my thinking for whatever that might be worth (usually not very much). You obviously wanted to post your photo, so go ahead and put it back. I seriously doubt you offended or bothered anybody with it. Frankly, I saw it and I thought it was just fine. I think you'll find more success by trying to encourage others to follow you with your example than by trying to pressure them into anything.
Obviously you wouldn't be the only INA forum participant with naturist photos around. I think it can be tricky to keep a naturist photo so inherently innocence that it speaks for itself without any other context whatsoever and it not a target for anyone with a sick mind seeking something else. But, in many cases, it may well be a worthwhile goal. As naturists, it's one of our potential tools in helping others to gain understanding.
Just my thoughts, certainly no offense intended.[/qb]

Riverrat, Some people have jobs that could be jeopardized by certain people knowing they are naturists. Those who don't want to post a nude photo of themselves are simply protecting themselves. If it doesn't matter to you who knows about you being a naturist then that's your choice. You have no right calling anyone a hypocrite simply because they are being protective of their job.
I hope to be posting nude photos of myself soon although I'm nothing great looking. I just thought some people might like to see what I look like in case we ever meet at Turtle Lake Resort, or anywhere else. However, it's an individual choice as to whether or not to post nude photos. Don't be so quick to judge those who choose not to do so. Also, I've heard of photos being taken off a naturist Web site and put into a porn site. Naturists don't want to be associated with a porn site, and they certainly don't want their photo on one.

There are many people who do not like to be photographed. Being seen by people is one thing, having it forever recorded is another.
Also these people could be afriad of how they look (an example). They don't want to be frozen in time to be scriutinized, then we bring in the nude body. Just doing it, OK. Having it recorded for time indefinite; again to be scrutinized.
Also posting a photo provides easy access to it. On a beach or other public place, it's a bit more difficult to get such a photo.
Personally, I don't mind being seen nude (in appropriate locations) but by putting my photo online I lose control of it. It's a terrible thing to lose control over something. And coupled whith the fears and concerns mentioned earlier...

Try putting a sign in your front yard with something like "A proud nudist lives here."

Riverrat,
Please do not worry about your having posted your picture. Your picture was NOT vulgar and NOT blatently sexual.
To the contrary, your picture was a decent, natural pose; a celebration of your natural body, which in turn, is a celebration and appreciation of life itself. This is a virtue which unfortunately some people do not possess, because of that "devil" called "body shame".
I honor you for your being appreciative of your good body and for your having good judgement of taking only a natural, unaffected, irreproachable type pose with no vulgarity, obscenity or courseness intended. Salutations!
