Enjoy your time there sw2sweendog; Santa Barbara is one beautiful place. Stay away from the Michael Jackson fellow though -- I think he lives nearby.

Are you referring to the beach near UCSB called Moore Mesa?

that would be the one,it's a great beach. and as far as michael jackson goes,im over 12 so im safe...lol

It is actually called "More Mesa" and it is beautiful. One thing I remember about it is the private elevators that go up to the movie stars' (and Michael Jackson's) houses above (you might have to walk south for that).

Do I recall correctly that there are also hard tar-like formations or is that on another California beach?

I've been to More Mesa only once, but I agree with sw2sweendog. It's a great beach. There were even people riding horses along the beach the day I was there.

well,i just got back.had a great time.when i arrived,iwas walking twoards my fav spot.and who do i run into.corey .melenie,and corky.we hung out for an hour or so,then they were headed for san ornfore beach.nice people,if you ever get a chance to meet them.do it!
