  • Post-workout nakedness

Last month, I joined a gym and started getting back in shape. Well, I've noticed that as soon as I come home from the gym, I take off my sweat-covered clothes and just sit naked to relax and cool off. To me, it just feels too good not to be naked after a rigorous workout. I'm wondering how many of you, my brothers and sisters in nakedness, feel the same way.

I assume that you have no shower at the gym, where you can shower and change clothes, so that you do not need to come home in "sweat covered clothes".

I shower and change clothes at the Y and then come home and take off my clothes and stay that way (as I live alone) until I go out again, or if someone comes over, I get dressed. However, in the wintertime, I stay clothed to keep warm. I live in the same climate as you do, Naked Tao, as I live 250 miles east of you so you know that it gets hot in the summertime, and being nude feels good and more comfortable (if the air conditioner is not turned on high, for cold air blast).

I am lucky. I have 2 weight benches and a tread mill at my house, so I am able to work out in the nude and when I am done I take a shower and lay in bed in the nude watching TV.

I looked into joining a club before I bought the bemches and found that the benches would pay for themselves in about a year and I could work out when I want to 6:00 am or 8:30 pm.

Actually, David, this is even AFTER the shower at the gym. I've been a little lazy in regard to bringing a clean shirt with me.

When I come home from the gym, I shower, then spend the rest of the time nude at home.

For me, the reward after a hard workout at the YMCA gym, is a long, hot shower, followed by a sauna, if I have the time (at the Y, too). Nude, of course!

When I returned from my nightly mountain bike ride, I dropped all the clothing in the laundry room and returned to the computer and contiued working nude.

After returning from the gym I get naked immediately shower and lay on my bed under the ceiling fan. It is so great to get those hot sweaty clothes off.

Years ago I was in a pattern where in hot weather at least once a day, sometimes more, I'd pull on a swimsuit, jump into our home pool and swim a bit, towel off and get dressed. Every year I struggled all summer long with jock itch.

At some point--can't remember when now, but years ago--I quit wearing a suit and started to remain nude for at least a while after each swim or shower. Haven't had jock itch since.

Now that I'm retired in hot weather I only get dressed if I'm going out or someone's coming. Otherwise I just stay nude all the time. It's incredibly comfortable, and we rarely need to run the air conditioning.

Howdy from (hotter than hell) Texas. There was a time where I could not run because I was so beefy (nice way of saying.. carrying a few extra pounds). Anyway, I've gone down from 220 to 170's. Since then, I run w/o t-shirt at the local park. As soon as I'm done running, I wrap beach towel around me, strip off those sweaty shorts, drive to the Y, long cooool shower, steam room, shave, shower and just sit around naked with my fellow buds. Great to relax and bond (BS) with the guys.
