As adedicated naturist one way in which I make concessions to nobody is that I insist on sleeping naked wherever I am and in whatever circumstances - at home with no guests (naturally), at home when guests are staying, in any home where I am staying, on any kind of holiday and even if in hospital. (In the latter instance, I reluctantly "dress" during the day, i.e. I don an ultra lightweight pair of shorts.) I don't care who catches me unawares, even if my nudity offends them. My point is that it is my freedom, and others should accept my point of view. Is this unreasonable behavior?

You are very reasonable. What's unreasonable is others who want to dictate what you wear for their own purposes. -
Your are "boss" over your own body, so you do what you want to do. As long as you do not jeopardize your own health.Comment

I have slept nude for many decades. When dating we would always sleep nude. Is total freedom being nude and is such a great feeling. Too bad others simply will not try it to themselves learn how nice it is.Comment

pretty strong concession there. i too sleep nude where ever i can. when our daughter was still at home i just kept a robe near my bed so if i get up during the night. now that she is out on her own i don't bother. i feel i have to make it comfortable for others around me too. can't really enforce rules to just make me comfortable.Comment

Pampelmousse, I have maintained the same policy for many years. I truly feel more refreshed and rejuvenated after a nude sleep. Whenever possible, I try to sleep naked and without covers, as I tend to throw off the textiles in my sleep anyway. Friends and family already know that in the event I happen to doze off on the couch or easy chair, that they are authorized to "assist me" out of any clothing I happen to be wearing at the time. Since I sleep heavily due to rotating work shifts of day/swing/graveyard, this situation does happen from time to time, both at home and when visiting at the homes of others. It's never been a problem so far, and the only exception I make is for socks, which I now leave on occasionally, to avoid cold feet on those sleep-walking trips to the bathroom, midway thru the sleep cycle.Comment

I sleep nude all of the time. I get too hot if I wear anything. If someone else were to have a problem with my sleeping nude, that is too bad. I won't tell them what to wear to bed either.Comment

I sleep nude everywhere I go. I also sleep nude when there are guests in the house (my house). My 'free nude time' is the morning hours which is when I am truely clothesfree. I haven't been caught as of yet, but everyone knows of my preferred attire.
When I do have to cover, it is with a wrap around with a split side, so the secret isn't totally hidden. It's obvious there's nothing on underneath, but the 'privates' are covered.

I have slept nude since I was a teenager, and certainly would never sleep any other way. I do keep a robe handy if I have houseguests, but I honestly don't think I could sleep in pajamas after these many years.Comment

After 40 years of being a nudist, I do not find it any infringement on myself if I have guests who would be offended of my nudity to cover up when in their presence. As far as sleeping, you are in your private bedroom or if visiting others in a private room so sleeping nude is not a problem.
I have lived being freely nude most of my life so if I know my nudity would offend guests, I find being dressed in their presence not a problem at all. I don't understand why this would be a problem for any other nudist here. I find being considerate of my guests/family/friends to be more of a priority than my being nude. I can be nude anytime and am most of the time so is this giving up any personal freedom? To me, it is not.Comment

That is the point of this thread. Nobody should be able to tell someone else that they can't sleep nude if that is how you can best get a good night of sleep. If they come barging into your bedroom without knocking, they have nobody to blame besides themselves.Comment

When I was younger and dating I insisted that my G/F slept naked too. Standing rule, anyone who shares my bed sleeps naked.
I used the naked rule while selecting a wife. If you weed out the clothed compulsive ones at the start your future naked life is much less troubled.

I don't know if he meant that he allowed others (his daughter) to force her rules on him as much as he meant that he knew his nudity would cause her some discomfort so out of love he forgoes his preferences, he "sacrifices" for her. It's a small thing done for someone he loves and is beautiful in its own way.
I'm in the same situation. It's a great thing if everyone is singing from the same sheet of the music of life, but when living with others that's seldom the fact. Concessions are a part of life. Naturally one shouldn't permanently give up something that's important to yourself, but a temporary sacrifice now and then will not do irreparable harm to anyone's psyche'.
I do admit that if I was dating again, One thing that would come up early is this love.Comment

Unfortunatly , it's only the nude person that is required to make this "temporary sacrifice".
It's pretty rare to find a "textile" that will say,... Stay nude. I can live with it while I'm visiting you in your home.
Is it a One Way Street???
