• Mobile vs stationary nudity

I get very restless at clothing-optional beaches and nudist resorts. I prefer to enjoy nudity while moving from point A to point B. Could be walking, kayaking, backpacking, cycling, rafting. I like the combination of nudity, exercise and nature.

Problem is that there aren't all that many everday opportunities to enjoy nudity when mobile.

Do you have this problem as well? What creative solutions have you found?

Gary, I know what you mean. I don't like to sit still unless I'm watching TV or on the computer. I have never been one to lay and bake in the sun, I get bored and restless. At the beach, nude or textile, I like to walk. I know some may look on this as "strutting", although I'm nothing to draw any attention, but I guess since I do the same thing nude or dressed there is nothing wrong with it.

As far as any everyday activities go, I'm afraid I can't help you. I don't get to be in a nude social environment very often, so most of my nude time is spent alone. At home I do house work, cooking, yard work and clean the pool (and swim) in the buff. I had a chance to go canuding, but I had to decline at the last moment for a funeral.

There do not seem to be many nudists in my local area, but I am always looking for new clothing optional activities, especially with others. I am always less parinoid of being discovered when I am with others.

Gary, I had to laugh out loud (here at work even) at you topic title - it's great! I had never thought of nude activities quite that way, but now that you bring it up, I too seem to require some dynamic activity. It seems that hiking, swimming, etc. are the what I like best about getting out and going nude. Good one.

Even at my age--56--I get bored just sitting for a long time and doing nothing. However, being alone at the nudist resort while most everyone else has someone, I have no one with whom to do anything. Even things I enjoy doing are no fun alone.

I have to have my mind--if not my body--active.

Gary,

Two resorts I go to have long natures trails. One has a pretty good weight room.
The other one sponsors a 5-K nude race.

Bare to Breakers would be worth the trip to the West Coast.

Nude beach jogging is easy to do at a couple of spots in Georgia and Florida.

I am a big volleyball player, both water and sand.

Nude kayaking is a cinch. Just have a private place to put in and take out. In a kayak, no one can see that you are nude because of the kayak skirt.

If you are nude in an open boat or raft, be sure not to let any other person pass you or they could snitch on you to the park rangers.

Nude hiking is not adviseable except in extremely remote areas. I don't have such a place outside the nudist resorts.

I agree - while there is something incredibly relaxing about being able to remove all ones clothes and be naked outdoors, it gets a bit boring after a while if all you can do is sunbathe. I spent some time in the South of Spain earlier this year and found a wonderful beach which stretched for miles along an undeveloped coast. You had to walk past the intensely crowded part in front of the resort and then continue on a bit more before you could slip out of your shorts trip but once there you could walk for miles nude - at the beginning there were a few people sunbathing nude but after a while they thinned out. It was an intensely wonderful feeling of freedom being alone and totally naked in such a spectaclar location.

With the increasingly mobile community we have in America and other countries of the world, many club owners may feel that all a weekend nudists wants to do is sit by the pool and relax. While this may be true for older nudists (but by the posts in this forum I would say that it is not) most younger nudists, and nude families are looking for activity! Unfortunately, most clubs seem to be lacking in that arena.
Both clubs near my home have had limited activities that did not involve loud music and excessive drinking (or at the very least excessive drinking!) and those were late at night. During the day, except for a game of water volleyball that I helped initiate, there was nothing to do but sit around and bake! No plans for families with small children, no scheduled hikes down the nature trail, or just a rousing game of Spades in the clubhouse!
I know most clubs do not have hired staff, and are limited on their budgets, but maybe if the members would take it upon themselves to plan some activities, and encourage members and visitors alike to participate in these fun events, I think it would change the face of nudism radically. We would see younger families, the stigmata of sexual debauchery and drunkeness would fade away, and people migh actually be more accepting of nudists in the clothing community.
I mean, think about it. You tell a friend about a nude weekend you recently had, and they say, "You layed around the pool all day nude, and then drank and partied till you passed out? Sounds like fun to me! NOT!" Wouldn't it be better to say, "We hiked a nature trail, saw a nude play, went golfing, won a volleyball tournament, AND laughed ourselves silly with karaoke!"?
I think someone once put it like this...nude recreation seems to have forgetten the recreation!

TXK Nude, I agree wholeheartedly. Nude recreation has turned into just sitting around nude. While I hate clothes and love being nude, I still get bored just sitting and doing nothing all day long. That's mostly what I see at Turtle Lake. Most people spend the whole day sitting or lying down by the lagoon getting a tan. A few people use the indoor pool or hot tub--very few, and the rest of the people stay at their campsites. Even if I wanted someone to do something with--and I do--there is no one.

I'm 56 and not physically able to keep up with young people in a game of volleyball or any other highly active game, but there are things I can do and enjoy doing--like horseshoes, shuffleboard, miniature golf, walking, bike riding, swimming, sitting in the hot tub or sauna which Turtle Lake unfortunately doesn't have. I also enjoy having someone to talk with, but the only ones who seem to give me the time of day are "gays". I don't care who I offend with this statement, but I'm looking for a female companion not a male one. I don't mind talking to men, but the only ones who come up to me are gay men. I'm being polite; I won't call them what I normally do.

There is very little to do at a nudist resort alone but sit, particularly since that is all most other people are doing. Maybe, like me, they're tired and don't want to do anything after working all week. I look forward to weekends not for the purpose of sitting and doing nothing, but to enjoy myself. Sitting and doing nothing for two days is not in the least bit enjoyable. Be nude and have fun.

The ability to swim at a beach is one option, preferably nude...
I suggest taking advantage of this oportunity if it exists in your area.

OK everone...up off your butts and get some exercise! I spend weekends, when ever possible, at either Lupin or Laguna del Sol..both in No. Calif.

I can only swim so much before getting waterlogged, but at both resorts the running is great. At Laguna, it's easy to do a 30 min circuit around the property, over to the river, and out some of the trails. Do that a couple of times a day...with or without my dog...and I've had great exercise.

At Lupin, you can go up the mountain...a very long way. You are likely out of Lupin territory..and on fire trails pretty quickly, but there is no one out there. Last time I ran for 60 min uphill, and took 25 getting back down. It made the hot tub water feel really great.
Walk, bikeride, run, do pushups....any exercise is good exercise...
stay naked...brucereno
