A funny Tail!
I was lying on Holkham beach (GB) enjoying the sun - somewhere in the mid 30's in August, so my bum was beginning to toast!
When I was rudely woken out of my day dreams by a very cold something being pressed to my bum, naturally I turned over to find out what it was. Only to find a very excited Border Collie who reckoned I smelt wonderful with my suntan lotion on and wanted to lick it off!
At this moment the owner (a textile dog walker) came running up, very embarrassed and tried to take the dog away without looking at me. Being a dog lover and having one myself, I got up on my knees and stroked the dog this half covered me, but she was still clearly embarrassed and the dog had no wish to leave. I then stood up so that she did not have to look down at me and I started a conversation about dogs, it turned out both her Collie and my terrier are both rescued, this lasted about 15 mins after which we parted company, full of smiles and very friendly.
Later on I went for a walk and who should I find but the dog walking back to me along the beach, on seeing me she started to run towards me, so I bent down to say hello and waited for the owner to come along, whilst making a fuss of the dog. Again the owner was embarrassed to see me naked, but by holding her attention again we chatted. Just as she was leaving she looked me straight in the eyes and asked why someone like me should want to be naked on the beach, where others could see me such as herself, and whilst she was not too bothered by it she still though it strange.
I must say that this was the first time this question had come up, whilst in the altogether! I still fairly new to naturism.
But as I was standing there holding a conversation with a woman about 20 years my senior who I had never met before whilst she was fully dressed and I was starkers, how did one reply?
My reply I suppose was almost cheeky but what did I have to loose!
And went something along these lines. "It's certainly not for the kicks of being seen but for the feeling of getting rid of the work clothes that I wear all day everyday, it allows me to switch off completely from the world and enable me to relax.
After I got used to the idea of having no clothes on, it feels natural and comfortable - why not try it you may be surprised!" at this she replied that she had on a foreign beach but would never consider it here so close to home. Again I replied that I came from only 15 miles away and what could be better than to enjoy the freedom so close to home. She appeared to have no answer this and the conversation went back to the dog and after a minute or two she wandered off.
Hopefully more in tune with our chosen way of live the she had been before!
Have any of you had a simular experiance?
