After what did you consider yourself a nudist/naturist

There should be an "all of the above" option. Different people consider themselves nudists once they are comfortable being nude at home, whereas, others may consider themselves a nudist after social aquaintances.
I believe the term nudist is a term many of us would use once we feel comfortable being nude, no matter what the surroundings may be.

This brings up an interesting idea. I know several people who go to nude beaches. Some of them might even be considered regulars but they don't consider themselves nudists. I think you have to become comfortable with the word as much as the state of dress it describes. For some it is even easier to get nude than to call yourself a nudist.

After years of being nude, although I agree with nudeM. Nudism is a state of mind so people can go nude a lot but still not consider themselves nudists or some can go nude very little but consider themselves nudists. It is not the amount of time but the state of mind.
I am in full agreement with Brian.

I considered myself a nudist the day I went to a social gathering, walked into a room full of nude people, hugged the people I knew without reservation, then immediately disrobed without any shyness or anxiety about it, and sat down at a table with other people I didn't even know.
This happened after 2-3 years of being nude at home and several resort trips.

I agree with Brian, in that nudism is a state of mind not a state of undress.
We started out being nude at home very early in our marriage. We found that we were more comfortable that way and found ourselves spending more and more time nude in our homes and in our backyards. We were aware of the title/lable of those living without clothes but thought in order to be one, you must live in a "colony." When we found that was not the case, I began referring to myself as nudist. The Prof's admission wasn't until much, much later.

I considered myself to be a naturist after my first nude hike lasting all afternoon in a semi-public place. There could have been people there, but there was not anyone there. If there were - I would have been seen in my complete nudity. I was quite comfortable with it, and later that astonished me considerably. So, at that time I thought of myself as a naturist. Since that event, I have been seen nude by textiles several times and it didn't bother me at all. I am what I am and I can't (don't want to) change that very much.

i considerd myself a nudist after being nude at home for a while and doing some research on nudism. I started doing everything nude while my mom was at work. I was about 15 and it was summer. School was out and i was home alone for most of the day 3 days a week. There was several times that i was almost caught but luckly she used to drive a jeep and it was pretty noisy, so i could hear when she drove up. I would be nude on those days from the time i got up till she got home in the evening. Chores, laying out on the porch, watching TV, and preparing and eating some meals was all done nude.
