We love northern california! We visited Bonnydoon last year and my wife really liked it.
Years ago...I was in the Navy and stationed in San Fran. We, a Navy buddy and I, took a drive to Santa Cruz and came upon a bunch of parked cars along the road. After some investigating...we found the Bonnydoon cove. We went back to the car and got a sleeping bag I had in the car and went down to the beach. Needless to say...we never made it to Santa Cruz. Spent the whole day and evening on the beach. Met some really nice people and returned to the beach several times after that.
We can't wait to get back up there, my wife and I, and spend a few days at Bonny Doon.

I had a great time doing a painting there over 20 yrs ago before the natural arch colapsed..When the weather was right it was truly a scenic naturists paradise.Red White and Blue,Laguna and Panther Beaches in Santa Cruz Co are also very scenic and beautiful when the conditions are right.Looks like Monday is still on course to be a great beach day.Enjoy!!! Obare, How about shipping some of that sun east? We've had some sun this past Monday, but none 4 days prior or since, in fact, they say just liquid sunshine until next THURSDAY
Guess I'll work on my CLOUD TAN

Hey THREADBARE...I don't know about Northern CA sun, but here in central CA it has been 98 degrees for the last couple of days. I hope I can send some of this heat your way! Good luck on your cloud tan. We had a great time.SF weather was absolutely perfect: cool enough for good running; warm enough for comfort later. Bright sunshine everywhere. As always it was fun crowd partying their way along to the finish line.

Maybe it was just where I happened to be in the stream of things, but it seemed like there were more costumes this year that showed real creativity. Last year I didn't see so many, and the ones I did see were sort of lame.
Re: nude runners?it didn't seem to me that they got nearly as much attention as they did several years ago. For the most part they hardly drew a glance. That's really the way most of us would like it to be for a whole lot of activities that could be done nude. I think nude runners have just become an accepted part of the race tradition.
The sole exception was a group of boys who looked to be about 8 years old. One of them yelled, "Hey, a naked man." Then they all went chasing down the street to get a look.
