Does anyone have any background on the photo of the day with the nude couple in a Starbucks? It's a great photo that begs understanding the story behind it. Thanks for any feedback.

There's a Starbucks coffee shop over by our club. I've seen many of the club residents over there getting coffee but no nudes yet! Many of them, especially the women, usually wear some lightweight slip on dress to go to the market and to this Starbucks. That's as close to naked as they'll get!
My wife has gone into the store in the dead of summer, temps in the low 100's and wore a long sarong/pareo. We were camping/Rv'ing there for a few days and we needed a few things. She said ... "it's too hot to get dressed and they can't see anything anyway!" That was before some close textile friends moved into a tract near this shopping center and they use that market. She now puts on a little bit more when we go to that market. She's not taking any chances they might show up! hahaha

Thanks FireProf...not personally a fan of the Starbucks product and my personal psyche just prevents me from spending more than a buck or so on a cup of coffee...but I might be persuaded to spend more than a buck Naked! 😱 I visit pasco county to see family often so I know how relaxed nudists get when out shopping if tied into a trip to a nudist venue.
Still curious about the photo though...looks like it was a formal affair which makes it all the more interesting.

Just a side note;
I have a brother in law that fancies himself a coffee connoisseur. He hates Starbucks, even though he's never had any of their coffee because he refuses to pay "that much" for a cup of coffee and will only drink 7/11 coffee. He stops there each morning with his fan pool and a few of them all bail out for their cup of Jo for the road. Those not bailing out ... are waiting in the fan with their Starbucks! hahahahaha
Anyway ... they visited here a while back and he asked for some coffee. I made him a cup and he kept raving about how good it was ... and asked for a second cup of that same stuff. When I showed him it was Starbucks Christmas Blend ... he got quiet and drank his coffee. I'm sure he wanted to pour it out over principle but ... he drank it!

This reminds me of one time when I stopped with a non-nudist friend at a fast food place not too far from White Tail Resort. I noticed my friend's eyes bug out and then saw that the lady ahead of him in line was wearing a loose-fitting tank top and no bra. It didn't take much effort to see her nipples from the side. After she gave her order, she went to a table where a gentleman wearing a White Tail t-shirt was seated. Good for them! Not everybody would approve, but I'm sure they met the minimum legal standard.

I suppose it begs the question...if you could go nude to a local shop without fear of legal repercussions, would you? As an avid nudist who spends as much time nude as possible, I can't honestly say I would unless there were a major shift in public perception and acceptance.Last edited by Guest; 01-17-2015, 04:46 PM.

We're getting off topic but I have to say ... I've not only driven nude but on one trip, in the evening hours, from Palm Springs to Lake Havasu, AZ, I stopped at a gas station to fill up my truck. This station was the only service station we would see until we arrived in Parker, AZ. I always filled up there and I stopped and filled up and was nude while doing so. Though I did not flaunt my nudity, there was one other car at the station filling up with fuel and I never got back inside the truck but stayed outside the truck and filled my tank. The other car was at the other island and wasn't paying any attention to me. I filled my truck tank, finished up my CC transaction, got in the truck and headed up the road.
We both did what we needed to do, we didn't pay much attention to one another and even the attendants didn't come out to say anything about my being naked. It was as if ... nothing was out of the ordinary. As far as I could tell, the other guy pumping gas at the other island didn't care nor did that station attendants ... so there really wasn't any big deal with me being naked.
But ... that was an isolated incident and not the norm. Definitely not the majority of public perception and acceptance.

FireProf, regarding if this is off topic... I Would suggest my last question is on topic because the original subject (people being nude in what would not normally considered a nude friendly place such as a Starbucks) appear to be completely accepted while in fact being nude. Just a thought.
As for me, I think the only time I ever went nude in what is not a nude friendly area was a few years back at a lake side park near my house after some major flooding. The neighborhood was still under development and all streets over a small rise were completely undeveloped with more than a mile of limited access roadways. To cap it off the flooding isolated the park which had a few miles of hiking trails and another mile or so of paved road. During the days when kids were in school I had near total freedom to roam the entire lakeside free. And at night, I could go on extended runs for an hour without fear of being caught. It was a great time. But alas, I had to end my adventure one morning when I was out on a run and I almost ran into a local HS JROTC team out on a morning road March. I heard them coming with just enough time to get my shorts on. And the lucky thing was that I got so comfortable with my private kingdom I usually stashed them at the start of the run so I would not have to carry them.

The world of nudism, or naturism, can go FAR beyond sitting naked at a keyboard. If you never have tried nude recreation - or social nudism - you're missing out on some fantastic life experiences. TRY IT SOMETIME. Contact your local groups. You'll wonder why you didn't do so sooner.

I might add, there was a convenience store near Cedar Waters in New Hampshire. That convenience store / gas station is now closed, but there were instances in which nude people filled their tanks, and went in and paid.
You don't know what the merchant's reaction will be, or what a passer-by's will be, and as such I wouldn't attempt it.

Usuallylurk... I Don't know if the photo in Starbucks was staged or not. It included one male and two females wearing what I would call formal attire (bow tie, etc but nothing else. Hence the reason for the original question. There did appear to be a few others in the photo with what looked like a store clerk an active participant in the photo.

Looks like they meandered in, the employees went along with it ... wondering , if this picture gets sufficient "airplay", how long the three employees in the picture will be employed.
Just be advised = as far as I know, Starbucks does NOT have a "nude restaurant" anywhere. If they do, let me know.
And, above all - don't go into your neighborhood Starbucks with your pants off.

I've seen similar photos taken at shops along the route of WNBR rides and "Bare to Breakers" - this could have been similar. Although it looks more like they are "dressed" for a nude wedding than a bike ride.
