  • Anybody home? Worth posting here?

    Lovers of being Clothesfree,

I remember when this forum first rolled out there was a lot of daily activity, and I met quite a few penpals here to learn about interesting places to enjoy naturism. But when I look now, it seems that most of the threads are sitting relatively dormant. Of course, you can only talk about male arousal, shaving, and applying sun cream for so long until you've exhausted those topics...

I'm an on again, off again naturist blogger that enjoys documenting our travels around the world to a wide range of naturist places. (And sometimes I get a bit philosophical as well.) My question is, it is worth logging on here to post those links? Is anybody home? Is it just sort of annoying, like "Yeah - I'll be going naked in Greece this summer - NOT!"

I have nothing to sell. The only cause I wish to promote is family naturism, in hopes of keeping naturist places alive and thriving. But If a blogger writes on the internet, and nobody is there, does he still make a sound?

    Be candid if you will.

    Naked Dan
    aka The Meandering Naturist

Welcome to my blog about naturist travel – a series of trip reports, links to naturist resources, and a few random opinion pieces that reflect my meandering musings on clothing-optional recreation. This effort represents my third project on the web related to social nudity and naturist travel.  Admittedly, I'm quite diligent about keeping my…

There isn't that much traffic on here hardly anymore. Some people (like me) will pop up every now and again. There are some "old timers" (again like me) that keep in touch on here and post some articles. As far as posting your blog, I'd say go ahead. Someone will see it and hopefully bring others back. Good luck

Visited your blog and I like it. For over 25 yrs I have visited my local resort and a common topic of conversation relates to what other nudist venues have you been to?? Having an information travel resource like your blog could greatly benefit those who are interested in nudist travel and wish to participate in discussions.

Dan, I truly appreciate your efforts and have enjoyed reading your blog. As you noted, this site and its traffic is down , but perhaps like all things it will grow again.

Thanks for responding. Pleased to see there are a few people here. It was such a booming place back when they started.

Just posted a new blog this morning...

Installment number two of my attempt to chronicle our naturist travels as I go about sorting through the thousands of photos we've collected over the years... Two big events in 2004: We bought a new digital camera (our first Canon Digital Rebel), and we got away for almost two weeks without the kids to explore…

Dan, commendable effort in your quest to promote nude recreation. Your travels make me envious and you photos capture some true happiness. Kudos to you and your travel mate.

I wonder if a lot of people just migrated to Facebook. I also visit truenudists.com which has a bit more activity. ClothesFree could do more promoting of the site but, again, Facebook seems to be where people go now.

Yeah...I have a good friend (who I first met here) who is now strictly on Facebook.

It takes two to tango. It seems that as often as not, the site is down or unavailable in some way. But I still visit from time to time, just to see if anything interesting has been posted. It is too bad. I remember when the site was in its prime. A very interesting place to visit, often. Now it is just a shadow of its former elf.

I wish I could bring something new to the forum myself, but it is mostly the same old enjoyable but uninteresting-to-others things.,,nothing noteworthy enough to comment on here.

True Nudist new forum format may just bring some people back. I too have gone away for awhile simply because there did not appear to be anything new here. If you look at the topics on TN, you will find pretty much the same things over and over again, plus a lot of bickering and one word posts. I believe that the more our experiences are shared, the more interest there would be in the site. Where is Stu? There was a lot of activity when he was a regular.

I wish he'd come back, too. Although his points of view were definitely contrarian, he kept the discussions interesting, and at a high level.

I have had problems with this site. Using the most recent version of Fireox, the message forums will constantly refreshing. I have to hit ESC to stop it, but that means I cannot create a new topic. Thankfully, I can reply in threads.
