Nudity mandatory poll

If you could make nudity mandatory for everyone in your city, would you. no one's attitude toward nudity would change, but they will follow the new rule

I voted no because "no one's attitude toward nudity would change" makes it pointless and I do think it's important for individuals to express themselves and that means fashion and clothes have their place in the modern world

Precisely. How is forcing everyone to be naked any better than forcing everyone to wear clothes? (And you could argue that we're forced to wear clothes, but in fact there are a few places we don't have to, but it sounds as though in this hypothetical Naked World there would be no Textile Resorts and Home Textiles permitted.)

Even in July and August when the temperatures dip into the upper 30's and 40's it would certainly be impractical, but more so, nudity nor uniforms for everyday wear should not be forced on anyone in a free society.

I am glad that people got the point that just because we are forced to be clothed in public would we be any better forcing our live style on others

I don’t want to force anything on anyone. I love to see people accept nudity on their own terms.

Even in nudist resorts, nudity generally is obligatory only in certain areas such as the pool deck, and there is no obligation for visitors to enter those areas.

My only experience with obligatory nudity was in junior high school when showering after gym class. Every kid in public school had to deal with that. Of course, the gym classes were unisex.

My understanding is that school kids these days are not required to shower after gym class. I've wondered if this is going to result in a generation of young adults who are even more phobic about nudity than their parents.

Even Catholic School students were required to change in big open locker rooms with gang showers. That generation of young adults of which you wrote is already phobic. My former son-in-law who was in his 20's at the time did not like me going from bedroom to bath while nude. My step daughter who has witnessed my nudity on many occasions still will not accept me being nude and has forced her sons ages five and eight to turn away even though they will share the hot tub with me and my rule is nude only in the tub. Grandma, my wife, will not let them run through the house naked after a bath. I do believe that we are losing ground sometimes even though there is more nudity now in media than what I grew up with, and we did not dare get caught without clothing at the lake or in the woods.
