I never really talk about it with them. So, either they do not know or they do not care. Probably the latter.

My closest neighbor once said to me, "Now you can go home and get naked." That's the only indication that he knows I like to be nude. Our windows are high enough that I cannot be seen from outside from my waist down, but his upstairs window could give him a view into our dining room.

When I decided to take the plunge into nudism, I was leery about being nude outside. I would hunker down, keep a low profile almost to the point of "hiding". One day, with the assistance of alcoholic beverages, I decided to go around and ask the adjoining neighbors. Keep in mind, I was not in a stupor state, but enough to drum up the courage.
We have four neighbors with adjoining fences (back yard is split with two backyards). To my surprise, there were no objections. One lady just stated "we'll see". I took that as an okay. Another one stated he had seen me and didn't mind. The other two, they said it was okay with them. I just told them I don't wear anything and if it was okay with them if I was in the back. I further told them it was purely for recreation and there would be no "wild sex parties", just to put their minds at ease.
That was back in 2002, and to this day, I enjoy the backyard totally clothesfree. One of the back households has since changed hands, so I was again, leery. One day, the guy apologized for his Sons snied remarks. I told him it didn't bother me. Whew.............
I wrote this some time ago. Nice to have understanding neighbors.

I've always kinda wondered, but never asked! A few have seen the AANR Bulletin on the kitchen counter and nudist themed calendar/magnets on the refrigerator. I think they don't know what it is or they don't care. Personally, I always hoped they might be ice breakers or spark the possible birth of a fellow nudist. I'd certainly be happy to have neighbors who are fellow nudists!

Some would be totally good with it, a few would crap their pants. I pretty much keep it to myself in the neighborhood

I have one private spot in my backyard that the neighbors can't see where I can get some clothes free sun.

Our only neighbor knows, because we have a clothing optional sign in our driveway, and I have been nude almost every time he has been here, but he has never said anything. pro or con. I assume it's a live-and-let-live thing.

I suspect that they are even proud that they have such a neighbor. One day I went to a neighbor on household business, she had guests. And she probably let it slip when she introduced me to them. She said she was the one I told you about. The reaction was interesting. Joyful curiosity, if you can describe it that way.
