Have you ever had a Surprised Encounter with someone that you knew at a Nudist Beach, Swim or campground that you didn't think were a nudists

  • #2
Yes, everyone was initially embarrassed but it passed quickly. My biggest surprise was a family with four kids at an out of area nude beach. We knew each other from some local committees we are on but it never crossed my mind they were nudists. They only went to out of the area nudist places.

This has happened to me a couple times

One time I went to More Mesa in Santa Barbara, 3 and a half hours from home at the time. Saw my younger sister and her friends hanging out. She did not know i was a nudist. I didn't know she'd be there, She's not a nudist per se but would go with her friends that went to UCSB at the time. Nudity was not a big deal at home but it was still amusing to see her. Her friends were more surprised than she or I was.

At Black's Beach I ran into my high school English Teacher. I was 2 years out of high school. I about died when I saw her but we made eye contact so I said hello.

I ran into a friend of my mom's at Black's Beach, Asked me not to tell my mom, I totally did. My mom thought it was hilarious

I saw someone I knew through work (a salesperson who'd call on our company) at Deer Park.

My wife & I saw my daughter's 1st grade teacher (my daughter is in high school now) at Glen Eden about 2 years ago

Imagine if you had seen the teacher at the beach while your daughter was still in grade 1 and would it have made a difference if the teacher was a man or a woman

To us it would have made no difference if it were a man or woman. I would have thought it more odd a male was teaching 1st grade. If my daughter was still in her class it would be of zero consequence. What do I care what she does with her time, especially if it's not immoral and/or has nothing to do with her teaching ability

I think the reason it's happened as much as it has it 1) If I see you, I'll say hi. Not leave. 2) If you go to local, popular places often enough for long enough, the odds are in your favor

I would love to have a nude beach in my hometown that I could walk to any time.

The biggest thing I miss about where I lived in Southern California was I had so many nudist opportunities
              Glen Eden 15 mins
              Black's Beach 1 hour
Deer Park 20 mins from work
              Olive Dell 30 mins
              Palm Springs (multiple) <90 mins
San Onofre (when it was open) 1 hour
              Deep Creek 2 hours

It's happened to me twice. I was walking along the shore an a former co-worker approached, wearing a bathing suit. He said with his mouth hanging open, "Your a nudist." I replied yes and kept walking. Never saw him again.
Second time, same beach. I'm sitting on a chair near the dunes and a couple from my church walk in front of me along the shore line, both nude. They are too far for me to say hello and walk till I lose sight of them. Later in the day, I walked down the beach in their direction to say hello. When I spotted them they were well away from anyone in a "heavy embrace". So I turn around and walked back so I would not embarrass or disturb them.
