I heard from someone that there is a nude beach in Cape May on Higbee beach.... does anyone know if this is true???? Going there this summer and would love to have a place t ogo down there on vacation

There was a beach there that was used for naturist enjoyment, but a few years ago the State of New Jersey closed it for such use. Therefore it is no longer available. The official reason for closing it was that the crowds were disturbing the bird population, however, the closing was probably really in response to complaints by the non-nudist public.

Gunnison Beach is still open at Sandy Hook because it is federally operated.

Sandy Hook is a nice beach to visit, but if you go on the weekend make sure you get there before 10am (some would say 9am) as the parking lot gets full early.
