But seriously, many nudist resorts have swap meets. Check their calendars.

At Laguna Del Sol resort near Sacramento, CA the [Disbanded] Sun Singles group use to have 2-3 nude Swap or garage meets per season, but this was at a clothes free resort where nudity is expected.

The only problem I see, is finding private property or area where the meet would not be visible to the general public from the street otherwise there would be complaints from the locals, and most CA cities have nudity ordinances against being nude in public or any area even private property where one can see the nudity from the street or road.

In the Sacramento area it’s not unknown that the police visit swap meets or garage sales for stolen merchandise, or drugs being exchanged or sold. Some cities also regulate how many swap meets or garage sales one can have per year.

I trust the police arrive nude. But where does one carry the cash to buy things at swap meets if they are nude?

I doubt that any nude swap meet would require the police be nude to enter or check the merchandise or what’s being swapped, traded, or sold.

I understand that a few popular approved nude public beach areas do have undercover [Or Nude law enforcement officers] police monitoring and citing those who go beyond being there for the purpose of plain social nude recreation.

Many regular nudists have purchased or devised ways of carrying money, sun block or lotion, and or medicines while nude at the beach or the resort. AANR/TNS and Nudist publications and Clothesfree.com have nudist products and online stores for nudists needs.

Typical methods:

Carry by hand
Wallet or purse
Waist belt
In glass or sunglass cases
Under you hat or pocket in brim
Nudist towel, Velcro or zipped pocket on towel
Wrist Band with pocket
Back Pack
Ditty Bag
Necklace or chain with small waterproof holder for pills
Canvas beach or shopping bag
Plastic bag or Ziploc type bag
Hide in magazine, books etc.
Pockets attached to your drink cooler
Leave in your parked vehicle until you need it

Scuse my ignorance , but is a "swap meet" a bit like olden days for eBay (pre the internet) where one simply offers things for sale.

If items are not sold but swapped you don't need pockets for money.

I don't think second hand unwanted clothes would go well at a nudist swap day.

Could someone please list the types of items offered for swapping.

Yes, also called a rummage sale, porch sale, yard sale or garage sale - except it isn't on your own property.

Normally you swap your surplus goods and crafts for money. But you are free to make any deal you please.

I met a deputy sheriff from the county I live in when I had some El Camino parts for sale. He had one that he was restoring and I sold a lot of stuff to him. In the course of conversation he mentioned he did undercover work at swap meets and garage sales and ads where they suspected people of trying to move stolen parts, and he was in street clothes and looked just like any of us.

I had a clear title and had owned the car several years, and I was not a suspect. Seems there are quite a few in the law enforcement field who are into cars and bikes when not working.

This stems from the "revenoo-ers" schtick -- they say if you have more than X per year, it's commercial so ya gotta pay the "sales tax" racket to them.

I knew an IRS agent once and quite by accident saw him at a store that was going out of business where he was doing undercover IRS investigation. So is not just stolen parts or misappropriated things the feds look for, but the IRS is out there also. I doubt the IRS would hit up a yard sale but if you were regular that could be a possibility.

In the US you may have your yard or garage sales, but here in the Untied Kingdom we have 'Car Boot sales' and for the uninitiated, a boot of a car in the UK is known as a trunk in Uncle Sam's backyard.

OK, so having established what a boot is I'll move on to explaining how it works, here in blighty our properties are generally smaller so its not feasible to hold a yard sale, therefore we have devised a system known as the 'Car Boot Sale' where a field (Sports or agricultural.) is used as an assembly point for individuals wishing to sell surplus domestic items, those wishing to pick up a bargain assemble 'en masse' at to pick up said bargain.

There are 'Car Boot Sales' arranged by groups wishing to raise funds for charitable purposes, then there are those organised purely for commercial gain (Most often by farmers wishing to utilise their fields more profitably than growing crops!), but it facilitates an exchange of material goods as opposed to wanton waste.

Here in the east we call them flea markets. Would be great to go naked to a flea market but then where would we carry money to buy things?
