For me, nudism was a secret as a child, more between me and my brother than anything else. Once married, my wife and I have been in home nudists.

In the poll, I said that I have not been a nudist all my life. And technically, that is true. I wasn't a nudist until I decided to attribute that title upon me in college. Before that, I guess I could have been called a gymnophile. I have always preferred being naked to being clothed, but had no want to do so in front of my family. So for most of my growing up, I saved it for when I was alone.

Although I said I have been a nudist all my life I guess that really isn't true. I'm sure they had something on me until I was potty trained, so I suppose you could technically say I wasn't, but I feel I've always been a nudist but (unfortunately) I've not always been naked.

I didn't get into social nudism until age 55, but I've always preferred being nude whenever possible. However, I was terribly embarrassed to be seen nude by anyone other than my brothers as a child. My fear of being seen nude grew in my teens and began to lesson with my first marriage. Now I don't care who sees me nude, and I want to ALWAYS be nude. Unfortunately, it's not always possible because of laws that are made to accommodate people's unreasonable fear of seeing a nude body.

When in the primary school I was extremely shy boy and had a problem in the gymn when I felt any kind of underware is no tight enough to hidden my manhood enough so it bumsed left and right shaking at each motion and gymn trousers are so silky You know that allways I stayed halferected what worsened that more ill. More embarrassed I stayed to change the dresses in locker room, some boys openly undressed nake and washed but I never had a courage because I felt my manhood is "too big" and boys may laugh of it - oh big fool, that ought be a source of proudness instead. Anyhow later I had a first girlfriend etc, so mind was changing, then I learned much about Taoistic sex-kung-fu some 20 years later and started to understand many hidden things (inbetween to have to be proud of being sexual creature not ashamed about it) so I find me wanting to try nudist sea beach. I realized this was most nice my bathing experience in the life and I started to want to expand it to other places too, as my farmland or my flat in the city center.

Lastly I tried to hiking nude in far ends of world and I find only one - it is good, enjoying, healthy, safe and inspiring. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

I voted yes to being a lifelong nudist. Because we have been for the last 30 years and I practiced nudism when I could 6 years prior to that.

On the other hand, we have not been nudists all our lives. My wife didn't start being nude around the house and backyard until we were married, 30 years ago. I didn't practice nudism until I was 15 years old.

So, yes we are and will continue to be lifelong nudists, but we have not been nudists all our lives. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif[/img]

As I have mentioned in other threads, My mother said I would take my own diaper off as a baby.So I guess that does qualify me as "lifelong".

I grew up at a school for the deaf in the dorm so us boys were inevitably naked alot. Does that make me a nudist? Nah...I was extremely shy during my teens until 21 when I went to Sandy Hook and got naked. Then I asked myself, gee, what was the big deal about being naked?
