  • These forums and chatroom must make people younger

While drinking my wake-up coffee I visited the chat room. NUDISTINLONDON was in there and started telling me about how he was enjoying the day at a nudist resort with his two teen children. I thought it strange that he was sitting in the car with his laptop, but I let it go on.

On more then one occasion he said that he was 45. I let it go a few more minutes and asked "I'm sorry, how old did you say you and the boys are?" When i asked how he managed to get two teen children and drop twelve years from that stated on his yahoo profile done in 2006 he either lost his connection or clicked out of the chatroom.

    1. Does being a CFF poster/chatter help take years off one's life? Is it the fountain of youth?

    2. Do you need to get a CIA background check on everybody that you chat with?

I don't feel the need to hide from my age. I am 46 and getting older with each passing day. The alternative to getting older is not very good.

I'm with MJ, I'm 49 and don't see any need to hide my age or bend the truth about it. Look at me and you can see I'm not 30.

No, but this is just another example that you never know who you're responding to on the internet unless you know that individual personally through other forms of contact. In particular this means that parents must be constantly vigilant about the kids' contacts on the net, as also do people looking for social contacts.

I am way past the age where I would want to play games and lie about my age. I am happy that I have lived as long as I have and I want to keep on adding on the days.

I may probably be the oldest person on this forum, but I don't see why I should let that stop me, unless too many people object - and no one has objected. I have posted my correct age in my bio. I hope that does not alienate anyone.

I don't know why it should matter to anyone. They should get used to the idea that the only cure for growing old is to die young. Not a good plan.

Everyone misunderstood the point of my post. I was not making any comments about anyone's age.

However, I was being facetious about the trolls that show up here.

I was making fun of a situation in which somebody claims to be 45 with 2 teens today and yesterday they were 52 with no children. I was just pointing out that they can't keep their lies from daylight.

I understood that perfectly, as your posts are very clear.

I did not miss the point of the original post at all.

That's funny, Topher. With you, he was 45 with two kids. Later he was 52 with NO kids. When i talked to him, he was 23 with an older brother. It's like shapeshifting. Mystique from X-men, anyone?

I am 58 and a few days. It makes no difference to me how old another person is in the chat room but I am very careful to not be roped into talking to under age people. One never knows no matter what, but at times it can become apparant in what they say and how they say it.

Chris, I will not talk to people in chat rooms unless I already know who they are.

As more and more people use the internet, we find many who have multiple personalities..it is funny when they get confused about their own facts

I like this and find it quote-worthy. I think I'll be borrowing that.

I have personally had cancer try to take me out on more than on occasion, so I know a little too much about what this means. That is one of the reasons that I am more than happy to admit my age. I am thankful every day that I am still here and feeling good.
