Would love it. Have done that on a few islands in the Chesapeake Bay. One was supposed to be deserted at the N. end. I got up, made coffee, cleaned up around camp. Went back into tent for something and heard a lady "hello, the tent". Were 2 of them. They joined the wife and I, then mentioned they had watched me all morning. Frank

Matthew Fox is one of the stars of the show Lost. He is a pagan nudist and openly expresses his affection for spending time in the nude to printed publications like People Magazine. I heard he also finds time to be nude on the set of Lost....so isn't he the lucky one.

Cool. I didn't know that about Matthew Fox. I heard Eric Balfour from the show Six Feet Under grew up in a nudist colony. I'm sure there are other celebs who enjoy nudity.

I've seen the show in the TV guide, but I've never watched it and have no idea what it's about.

                Lost

An ABC drama about survivors of a plane crash onto what they thought was a deserted island. There sci-fi elements of the show as well. I think it could be classified as a suspense drama.

The island is supposed to be in the Pacific (?) and is filmed in Hawaii. And yes, Ben Kenobi, I would love to visit Hawaii on a nude vacation.

(Why did I just call you Ben Kenobi, Ewan? The actor who recently played him was Ewan McGregor, or Ewan M.) Are you him?

If it really was a colony, how did he escape?

Lost, Great show, I catch it every chance I get, but have wondered to myself, why they have'nt ventured of into a slightly romantic side or why they haven't had some nudity or thoughts leading to some going nude on the island. I know I sure would be spending some of my time lost there on the island nude. but I guess they have to keep their newfound society in check, and don't want further problems that might arise. But no ones really in charge, on the show, so surely some would like to just enjoy themselves some.

I wondered that too, since it seems to be so warm there, I am surprised they wear so much clothing.

Great Story there, I hate to miss an episode.

My wife watches every episode of Lost. I may have seen one.(I am more into comedy and sports)

Yes, on a warm island like this-one would figure people might wear less clothing.
Even, some level of nudity could potentially happen.
A movie company might present this.
But, I think given strict North American standards, the major TV stations that show the program will not show anything of nude nature.

Call me Mr Poopy Head, but I have to give "Lost" two thumbs down. The first thumb down is for nonsensical cliffhangers; I like good cliffhangers as much as the next person, but theirs are just plain silly. And to think they want to drag this on for even more seasons!

The second thumb down is for realism. Have you ever seen how real life castaways look like? Well, they're definitely not as pretty as Evangeline or Matthew. For realism, rent either Castaway (1986) or Cast Away (2000)...although my preference goes to the 1986 version.

But to answer the original question: yes, it would be awesome to skinnydip out there!

Television has a difficult job of appeal. You have probably heard the expression "will it play in Peoria?" which simply means a production has to get to the very conservative midwestern values (some would say prudish, or puritanical) but as with all TV production the program has to draw an audience that will watch and buy the products which support the program. To quote an old Chinese line which so aptly describes the situation "No tikee, no washee." It's simply the economic motive, if they don't watch the show and the commercials, they don't buy and the program doesn't stay on the air. Like politicians, the first rule of political life is don't do anything that will jeopardize your re-election. But don't most people understand that principle?

Oh, you TV buffs. With all that time to watch TV, I feel like I live in the Twilight Zone since I work second shift and don't have the opportunity to watch those wonderful evening TV programs. As with anything else, a person has to be selective in their viewing, watching only those shows that appeal to a person's particular interest.
