lets say a tourist bus of about 20 people took a wrong turn and ended up at a nudist beach and it also at the time had engine problems how many of the people on board would get out and check out the beach and be nude by the time the bus is fixed
none of these people were nudist before hand

ranul, if all the recent polls are correct (assuming this happens in the US) 7 would be nude within seconds: 5 more would be nude after a short while longer: 6 would not get nude but, half of those assuming they were female would go topless: and 2 would be hiding under the bus.

Being nude or being indifferent to others being nude makes up close to 90% of those polled in recent surveys

I think it's impossible to tell. If the bus has a good share of african-americans, then the odds change greatly. If the bus has a good share of women, again the odds change greatly. If it's a church field trip, the odds definitely change greatly.

Thta's why I don't take polls too seriously.

I think it depends on the number of nude users currently on the beach when the bus arrives. If the nude beach is empty upon arrival...the passengers are going to be more insecure and not want to be the "first" one to get nude, thus slowing the process if it occurs at all.

If the beach is full of nude users, the passengers on the bus are more likely to feel at ease by blending into a large group.

My thoughts agree with Denita, that it would depend on the numbers. If 20 people were on a bus at a nudist beach with 5 nude bathers, few are likely to join in if not previously exposed to it. If 20 on the bus, and 100 nude bathers on the beach, it seems more likely that a few might try it.

Well when I was at Studland beach In England, a whole coachload of tourists walked along the nudist beach and not one of them was nude.

It also depends on what kind of tour the bus was on.
And the ages of the people on the bus.
I doubt any of them would join in on the beach unless the bus happend to be full of pretty openminded people. And the odds of that are pretty slim.

If it breaks down on Haulover Beach, they are going to get pretty hot and pretty ready to cool off, thus hit the ocean,thus maybe get Naked and give it a try. Just a senario,anyway, and interesting thought. I know I would, Nudist or Not.

Just look at the hundred tourists getting down on St Marteen from the cruise ships and go to Orient Bay visiting the nude beach...I never seen much of them stripping!

Funny, when I've been at Orient I've seen quite a few of the cruise people strip down for a little while before getting dressed to go back to the bus. Obviously not close to a majority, but it seems there's always about 10-20% that do.
