How do you bury a nudist?

It made the idea of different forms of burial cross my mind. While I enjoy being au natural, I wouldn't take it to the extreme of being that way in my grave. I don't know if everyone agrees with that though. So my question is this:

Given your not cremated, how would you want to be burried, clothed or nude?

I came in to this world naked so why should being buried naked make any difference to me, the body is just a vessel to carry us through this life when it is over we have no more use for it. [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]

This is a very interesting topic which will take much thought. As a nudist, I feel I have control over who I desire to share my lifestyle with and who I don't. However, unless you have legal documentation on your wishes upon death, someome else will decide your arrangements and how you will be buried. Lots to think about! This is not as simple as some may think.

Personally, I would want to be buried in clothes. Most of my family is pretty conservative. So even after I am dead I wouldn't want to offend any of them.

Now a days, it seems that many of the friends and family we have buried have been sick and don't really look like they did before they became sick and died.

Many of these people chose a closed casket and the remaining family members placed a picture on top of the casket that most family and friends remember that person to look like.

I would rather have a closed casket with a picture of myself on top. Being that the casket is closed and know one but my wife and kids will know my wishes...to be buried nude, it won't matter what anyone else things or says.

I worked in the cemetary business for a SHORT time, and was surprised to learn that (at least in PA) it is against the law to be buried nude. The law even requires undergarments!????? [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif[/img]

So why would you want to be buried? I already made arrangements that,after I die and any usable organs have been donated, my remains are to be donated to a medical collage for use as for teaching or research as they see fit.

i would think that even if you are being cremated, you could have some sort of viewing prior to the bon-fire. i like the idea of being naked in the casket, but with a suitable picture on top. i have not given this much thought, but maybe its time as the clock keeps ticking....

True. I'm actually one of those, I donated everything to science and they just cremate what is left over....I figure I don't have a use for my own dead body after I'm gone, it might as well benefit someone else.
