Which of you have had nudist neighbors?

I'm wondering which of you have had nudists as neighbors. Maybe you can tell us how you found out and how you interact with your neighbor.

I haven't yet had any neighbors who I've seen working in their back yards like I do.

we're just completing a privacy fence, will be able to ''do the nude' thing later this week. I explained to our (younger) neighbors, and invited them to hot tub with us... They said yes!

Shortly after we moved in we began to get acquainted with our neighbors on one side. One morning we rode our bikes out to a local coffee shop, and there they were. They invited us to sit with them, and during the conversation they gently made their request that we not look over our shared fence as they often don't wear clothes in their yard and pool. I pointed out we would have to get on a ladder to look over the fence from our side, whereas their landscaping along the fence is elevated: all they would need to do would be to stand on their planter bed to see into our yard. If they did that they'd find that we didn't wear clothes either. Lots of laughter all around.

They're not social nudists. Apparently they tried it once with a couple who wanted to turn it into a sexual weekend, and that bad experience has stayed with them. The husband and I are frequently nude together in our hot tub after our Saturday morning run, and a few times a year the wife joins us. She keeps her suit on, but that's what clothing optional means.

The important part is that we're entirely comfortable with each other, and just don't worry about whether they might happen to see us. They wouldn't care, and we wouldn't either.

Just recently our neighbor on the opposite side proposed that we have our shared fence rebuilt as it was badly damaged by dry rot. I agreed with the stipulation that it be rebuilt to the same design, and that wood with a minimum of shrinkage be used as "we don't wear clothes when we swim." It turns out that they are having their yard relandscaped, and he brought the plans over to show how they are putting in plants along the fence that will "ensure you privacy, and ours as well."

The key that makes these good neighbor relations possible is that when we were looking for a house to buy we put privacy on our list of non-negotiables. That's easier in California where yards are normally fenced then it would be in other places where wide open views are the norm.

I had a neighbor three houses down that was a nudist. He would be in the back yard trying to be comfortable and avoid being seen by others and I was doing the very same thing neither of us knew we were nudists until he was moving out. Sad but we still visit and are naked when we do now.

We had neighbors, across the street and over a house, that were nudists. We haven't had nudist neighbors right next door though.

Those neighbors, I speak of, became friends and visited our home many times but we were not into social nudism at the time and my wife wasn't ready to be nude around others at that time.

We found out one night while at their home for drinks and conversation. After a few glasses of wine, they brought out their photo album. There were the usual family pics and then we turn the page and there was the female friend nude, pregnant and standing by a window. It was actually a very nice picture, along with the many others that followed.

They said they liked to be nude at home and in their backyard. The male neighbor actually asked for me to help them construct their patio cover in such a manner so they could have full sun when they wanted to sunbath. They talked about being nude all the time and I wanted to say something about us but my wife wasn't about to devulge any of that information at that time, this was about 28 years ago.

They moved away first and talked about buying a home in the canyons above Malibu or Topanga Canyon so they could be naked in the woods and nature. We lost contact with them and never shared any nudist time with them. Too bad, they were a nice couple but my wife thought she was a bit too flirtacious.

We have a 6 ft. fence all around back yard which alows us to be naked whenever the weather permits. Our Neighbours are all great people - we are friendly to each other when we meet but tend to mind our own business. To my knowledge none of them enjoy being nude.

A funny thing happened with the neighbours behind us. We had just returned from a nude resort in the Dominican Republic. My wife was paying a neighbourly visit and they were asking about our holiday. My wife told them we had a wonderful time in the Dominican Republic and hoped to return to the same resort next year. At this point both husband and wife said that they would like to come with us as they knew we travelled south and had good times and they didn't know where to go. My wife said that it wouldn't be possible. And why they said. They strongly insisted they could go anywhere we went. At that point my wife told them they would have to be nude. - You should have seen the look on their faces. - The topic was dropped like a hot potato. I guess at least one of our neighbours know that we are naturists and we know that they are not.

Now that's what I call gettin' the word out!

I applaud you wife's bold move and look forward to the opportunity to do the same with our neighbors, even though they already know!

Well, one set of neighbor were over a few weeks ago and mentioned that no one could see in out backyard. I replied ( trying to be discreet ) that yes it a indeed private that no could see in. Although we did not go any further in the discussion it was clear what was implied. then last week I was mowing the lawn and my neighbor said hi over the fence. I was nude but put n my short before I started any conversation,argh had a great chance and lost it. maybe next time. getting closer though.Rick.

years ago lived in a condominium development. Fortunately our unit faced woods, and not other buildings. Backyards were separated by 4 foot fences about 12 feet in width.It was reasonably private and nude sunbathing was possible. One neighbor a young woman regularly was nude sunning. Walked around the fence and spent some nude time with her one day. But she was not really into social nudism.

No neighbors that I know of. Even "social" nudist can be private about their lifestyle.

I found several of my neighbors at WTR. One lives 2 houses away. One 2 blocks away. And a lot live within a mile. Get togethers are fun.
