  • Anyone have a clothes free job?

Does anyone have a job they do clothes free?
For example, working at a clothing optional resort or an organization such as Clothes Free International?

If so; what do you do, for how long, and most of all what's it like (how do you like it)?

This has got to be the best business casual
    dress code ever!

As a computer analyst, with a home office, I can work at home and au naturel anytime I want.

I do know one computer consulting firm and one small private engineering firm where the employees can work clad or unclad as they wish.

HOWEVER -- to work for them, you would have to bring something to the table other than a naked body.

Employment at nudist parks? That's easily obtained. Take a look at the recent issues of the AANR Bulletin, if you're an AANR member.

Many nudist parks and resorts are seeking seasonal help for the upcoming summer. Most people bring an RV, and live out of that. In exchange for free lot rent, membership, and some perks, they work x number of hours a week.

Cooks, housekeepers, office clerks, accountants, maintenance people, carpentry, construction. In the super-resorts, wait staff, bar staff, etc.

Now - two catches. Do you want a job like that?

        1) You won't get paid all that well. Many nudist parks are family-run or cooperatively run businesses and run fairly "close to the belt". As I said, some give lot rent and a few perks in exchange for your labor.

        2) REFERENCES. You will need references, and preferably NUDIST references. If you're known to, and are in good standing with one or more nudist park operators, obtain letters of reference from them. I think you can understand why they just don't let any shmo in off the street to go to work for them.

Cooperatively held, and family held parks tend to hire their own people. The nudist park I'm a member of is family owned, and other than the two owners and their adult son, they only have two or three part-time people working for them --and those are members.

In Florida, the big resorts need staff from time to time, but, again, they are going to want references (both work and from the nudist community), experience, and, of course, they'll conduct a background check.

Usuallylurk brings up good points, but overall, at any campground or resort I have been to, RARELY if EVER are staff unclothed. For kitchen, bar and waitstaff, this is due to health regulations. For maintenance, office and housekeeping staff, they are also clothed because they have likelihood of meeting textile people throughout the day, and there'd be safety reasons, too, for remaining clothed.

I am laid off as a computer destop help support analyist but when home, which lately is allot, am always nude. I do allot of repair work on my customer computers here at home and am almost always nude when I do such work. Customers are not always nudists so I have to be careful on when they come here to be sure I don't offend them.

Somewhere there's a genuine Microsoft memo / instuction manual / entity that recommends working on hardware nude as an anti-static measure.

My security job, unfortunately, requires a uniform.

On the filmmaking side, however, I occasionally do some editing naked.

This "concept" is totally outdated and completely wrong. I know plenty of unhealthy and unsafe practices being done by fully clothed people. I recently worked in a restaurant where people were not washing their hands often enough, kept touching their noses and scratching their heads, and the majority of the kitchen staff did not wear hair nets or caps.

On the whole I would argue that nudists are more health conscience and aware of their suroundings (not wanting to get jabbed by anything) and pay closer attention to their personal habits. But you cannot force people to be clean, or cleaner, they either care or they don't. We also can't watch them 8 hours a day, or however long their work shift may be.

Most of the laws and ordinances in the cities and counties are ignorant of these facts and should be revised. There needs to be a free, easy to read, "Cleanliness for Dummies" book or something given out to 10 years olds as required reading. Beyond that, I guess we will all have to get used to a few germs in our lives and know our immune systems will be stronger for having battled them previously (in most cases).

If we could all be "smoothies" and have super immunity, the regulations could be revised and clothes freedom could move forward.

And you will work weekends when they need the staff to handle the incoming traffic.

I've thought about this and it's the weekends when all the fun events are held.
