  • "They" Already Know You're a Nudist-Online Privacy

I was just thinking that in an age of NSA information sifting, search engine Crawlers and Spiders, and IP tracking, "they" already know that your a nudist. Therefore, there is no reason to remain in the closet.

Example: take your Clothes Free forum username and search it in Google along with the word "nudist" and it will bring up every posting you made at CFI.

So, "They" already know your a nudist. So much for online privacy.

GOOD - the more nudists "they" know about the better. They might realise the high nudist proportion of the population.

Not sure whether that's good to know but you must be popular because that didn't work for me.

"They" may know. But your employer may not, and for a lot of people that is a risk they can't afford to take in today's world of disposable workers with no rights and eroded safety nets.

I wonder if "they" are interested in every one of us.

"They" need to be worried about much more important things than our nudism.

If the "they that you refer to is the government, then you will find that "they" have had access to far more info than you were probably aware of. That us if "they" wanted to have it; the popularity of the internet just makes it potentially easier.

On the other hand if you are referring to the folks around you, then you would have to have told them about you being a nudist. Or if they came across the info by browsing it would probably mean you have a shared interest.

As long as "they" don't get taken over by religious zelots, who have certainly been trying to take power, we should be ok. But if "they" ever do, then we will be in big trouble, along with everyone else who refuses to conform to their "morals". As for the employer issue, Mark has it exactly right. If my employer ever found me on this site, I would be fired. End of story. Although, the law suit would be spectacular!

There has to be more important issues that "they" can be looking into than minding how I spend my passtime.

On my CV, among other outside organizations and affiliations, I have for a long time included "International Naturist Federation". I suspect my US employers thus think I am an avid ecologist, but they can never say I hid anything from them. Actually, the only prospective employer who has ever asked about it was a transplanted German interested in my views on her favorite FKK holiday spots in France. My other odd thought on this is that it would be great if national naturist federations had some sort of certification exam on naturist values -- I would love to list among other diplomas and certificates, say, "AANR Advanced Naturist Certification".

'They' forget that even 'they' came into this world completely naked, naturally. 'They' are in such a state of denial about themselves it's sick.

People whom you don't want them to know your forum username, don't tell them! Then, as was suggested, they could not find you on Google.

Even if "they" know my username, "they" can't really google me.

I don't do any of the social media and my real name doesn't come up on a Google search. All you have to do is join social media and all sorts of information about you becomes instantly available to the world.
