Though I voted for "any of the above...", what I have actually done in the past and continue to do is to tell the person that their close proximately makes my wife very uncomfortable and would they mind giving her some room.

I have yet to have a problem with anyone (males) apologizing and moving away from their choice position.

I choose to move away from the person. No sense in ruining the day about it. But if that person followed us, then it's time for a confrontation. That would include reporting them to the beach patrol.

I don't believe you should ever have to move because someone else is bothering you.

I just tell them I have a camera and I'm going to post their picture on the Internet as a gawker. Works every time! THEY do the moving.

It takes 46 muscles too frown........ but only 1 muscle too extend the arm and smack the sucker in the mouth.

Behaviour of some individuals on public nudist beaches is dreadful, both myself and girlfriends in the past have been subjected to gawkers and masterbators, such obnoxious characters. Gawkers at a distance i can live with that, because they maybe newbies but the masterbators is an unacceptable behaviour in a public place.

Maybe turn and face them without staring at them. If they can see you know, maybe they'll go away

I chose "any of the above," but feel a more proactive approach is in order. I have ignored gawkers in the past only to have the person get tired of seeing me do nothing more than be a normal person and move on themselves.

I have confronted many gawkers over the years and will continue to confront when they are making life at the beach uncomfortable for anyone. One thing I won't do is move away. When I stake my little bit of paradise, I will not give it up to someone whois being an interloper. Action, short of violence, is called for before moving to a new spot.

I would vote "None of the above", but that one isn't available. What I would do is stay where I am but LOUDLY say something like, "We seem to have a pervert here who likes to stare at naked people." and then point at him. I'm not a confrontational type of person where I would walk up to him and confront him one on one and fear that the person might want to get violent with me, and I'm a lover and not a fighter.

I did that once in a restaurant when a guy was staring at me or someone who was with me, and he was so embarrassed that he quit staring.

I marked "any of the above" because it will come down to the situation at hand. Most cases I would ignore them, I might not confront them but let them know that I see what they're doing. If I'm where other nudist are then I why should I pack up and leave.

They want to stare, I would stare at them right back.

                            Freedom2be,

Don't go to textile beaches either. Women get gawked at there, too. Just stay home.

Okay, I'm kidding! Some beaches are out of control and being a solo nudist simply won't work. You'll have to go as a group. Not even couples are free from harassment at some places.

If nudists don't get organized and take charge, the bullies will kick sand in your face every time.

freedom, I am not asking you to be a sacrificial lamb. I don't blame you for being unwilling to confront a gang of half-drunken young toughs. But that's not to say that I believe we should collectively abandon nude beaches to the hoodlums. Far from it! Beaches such as you describe need law enforcement in addition to well-organized nudist groups.
