• Redchick: Help me understand.

I watched your Nudes in the News episode where you were at the nude roller ring and you introduced your mother(?) (she looks more like your sister).
Anyhow, you mentioned that she was a nudist at the time that you were a teen and was somewhat embarrased by that.
At what point did you start feeling awkward towards nudity, and at what point did you get over it and become a nudist also?
Reason I am asking is because I have two daughters,8 and 6, and the oldest is starting to show signs of not being comfortable with being naked.
I am just trying to get the perspective from some one who grew up with nudist parents.
Thanks

Greenman,

While we are waiting on Red to reply, I thought my experience might give you one more example to ponder:
Dad was nudist. Mom wasn't but she wasn't an extreme prude either.
I was uncomfortable about it during my teen years even though Dad was the perfect role model of behavior. I began easing out of that attitude when I was on my own in college. Age 20 was the magic number for me, although that was probably more a function of maturity and better self-esteem. I remained ignorant of social nudism for a long long time.

I suggest doing whatever you have to go with your kids to a nudist resort that has kids your children's age and who are not ashamed of being nude, and spend as much time as you can there.

As kids get older they want more personal time, too. I believe strongly in family-shared events, but at some point most kids want a little more space and privacy and nudity is not necessarily part of that issue.

I thought the same thing. Red's mother is extremely youthful looking, she must take excellent care of herself.

Hmmm, I wonder if Red would mind having Trailscout for a step-dad?

That's what I thought too. Much like Red and her mom, a coworker many a long year ago mistook my dad and I for brothers.

Guys, guys! Hello! Earth to nudists!

Redchick and her mother have great genes. Some people just have that built-in ability to remain young looking forever. Others do not have that same ability.

I know some men who started losing their hair in their teens and by the time they were 25 they were completely bald. Some people have gray hair in their teens, others go through life without a gray hair and without the help of Miss Clairol.

I must have a youthful sounding voice. To this day nudeM cannot tell if it is me or our daughter who answers the phone!

So Redchick just keep doing whatever it is you do...you have these guys eating out of your hand!

Mary Hopkins was on the Apple lable. I have the record in the house, but since I don't have a record player anymore, it's burried somewhere!I very nearly wore that band of the album out! Even though I haven't heard that song in years, it still goes through my mind on a regular basis.
Anyone know if its been re-released on CD?
