Hey Goofyone, thanks for the distance info. I walk the outer ring so with your information I can determine my mileage. How many laps do your puppys do? Hopefully the weather will be condusive to several laps on my birthday visit.

AL, Maybe you did not give the mailman a good Christmas present this past year and he is holding some of your mail? lol There is a pond and a permanent house down the road towards Buffs Bluff and the C D and E sections of camp. Also some nice hiking trails down by the pond. New managers are Michelle and Jody this year. They are great. Lisa and her hubby and child left after last season. They were great too. Let me know when you will be there next. See you on the loop...

Thanks for the info guys. Meeting up sounds like a plan. Dave, you mentioned something about a pond at SRH. I was not aware there was one. Is the management new this year? When I began visiting, Ron and Hazel were running the show. A few years ago while visiting Paradise Lakes I met a member of SRH who stated Ron had passed away. Was sorry to hear that as he was a good person. On my last vist to SRH Lisa was in charge. Is she still there. Like I stated before, I only visit once a year due to the expense. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Hey Dave, the mailman has not delivered your gift as of today.

I think if you do the ring, using the long loop, and not the inside one, it is 1/2 mile...our puppies do this no problem when it is not too hot...it is a nice alternative to always using the golf cart...

Hey AL
I did the ring road this past weekend. SUre was hot enough for it. I should have drivine it once to see the distance. I also usually walk the road down to the pond in the back. Thats a nice hike. Jody and Michelle have the place looking great this year. There were even workers at the barn puttign in new windows. Maybe you me and Tom can meet up and do a few laps on the road. Dave

Hey Al,
U can take me to Hawaii! LOL My wife is just "considering" the idea. Yes it is a step in the right direction but that means maybe next year! Hopefully not.

Hi all! When I visit SRH I try to take at least twenty laps around the ring road for exercise. Does anyone know the exact distance of the road? Hope to see you all there and you can recognize me as I will be the nude guy walking the road.
Sorry to hear about your exeperience at Ponderosa elgintom. On my last visit there about twenty years ago (as previously stated), that type of actvity would have resulted in instant expulsion as it should have.
Glad to hear your wife is open minded about visiting SRH with you. I offered my wife a two week trip to Maui with the stipulation that we would spend time at the Hawaiian Sun Club and Little Beach. She loves Hawaii but will not go if she is subjected to nudity. She does not have any objection to me participating but will not vist the venues even though she could remain clothed. I would not feel comfortable leaving her alone while I visited the locations so I guess the trip is off.

Hi all,
Just back from a clothed vacation with the fam. I went to SRH last year. I know Lisa and Nick from old business aquaintance. She let me in no problem. I think this year will be okay too. Went to Roselawn last year for the night. It was kinda rainy. The only people to want to talk were kinda perverted. The first guy gave me a tour on his golf cart and made sure that I new he was open to any kind of sex, str8 or gay. The second stopped me in the road and kept pulling on his penis the whole time we talked. Don't know if I'd go back there. I'm planning on going to SRH soon. My wife told me she was considering going with me but would remain clothed. She is allergic to chlorine so she can't swim. So what would she do there? Sit and sweat. Oh well, I'll post when i'm going and hopefully can meet some of you guys. sliver thanks for the invite. I was out of town.

I assume that Jason was siteing mainly the last line of the paragraph of the web site of Sun Ray Hills which says;
"Our membership is made up of primarily families and couples with a limited number of single people. As a family club our main problem with accepting single persons is maintaining a balance between male and female members. Since we have more single males applying than single females and couples, we cannot accommodate all who apply. Married persons will not be admitted without their spouses".

Tom, I am just north of the border in Kenosha. Plus I have relations near you in Hangover Park.
Dave and ercNY, I believe Jason was citing Sun Ray Hill's OLD management/owners. A couple years ago a new owner took over and I understand SRH is now singles friendly.
Doggoneittt!!! The village I grew up in is just a little ways down the road from SRH. The attorney that handled my divorce was a member of SRH. I litterally pass within a few miles of SRH to get to Valley View. All that time I was told not to come back to SRH without a female compnion.
I became a member of VVRC, get set up with a permanent site, get a camper with a deck and storage shed set up, In short, I am now a VVRC fixture. And NOW SRH says single men can come. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Thanks Sliver, that is a reasonable fee. I wish I were closer to Ponderosa but being near the Wisconsin border makes for a long expensive drive to Roselawn. I will probably stop in on one of my trips south. Have a great time.

Al Bundy: I just called the Ponderosa 5 minutes ago to check the fees. $25 per day Monday-Friday, single or couple. $30 per day Saturday-Sunday. Hrs are from 8:00am-11:00pm. Enjoy. Rick and Jerri

Funny story here. I was in Illinios once a long time ago while driving a truck cross country. We stopped for soda and some woman in the store asked where I was from having detected the deep New England down east 'twang.
Having been brought up in Maine, lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire I cut to the chase and stated simply "New England".
She thought about that for a moment and replied "Oh.. Well how do you like it here in the states?"
