• clothing otional beach, maybe??

I live in northern new york, nude is a bad word, I go to a beach that the rangers turn there heads to nudity sometimes, many have been ticketed. I go there often and I sunbathe nude, I used to stay nude when people would come by and even walk down the beach and say hi to passersby. 2 years ago a sign came out for people to turn in naked people and nudity was banned, last year the sign was gone, I go there and sunbathe nude but put a suit on when people come by. Am I parinoid or too causious, many of the people that walk this beach are there to see naked people, I mean the clothed gawkers. I personnally would rather stay nude and let them see others enjoying the sun and breese as GOD intended, nude. What do you think??

i don't think you are paranoid or being too cautious. you seem to be able to read the situation about wether you should be naked or not. if you are not concerned about the textiles seeing you naked (i.e. - it won't come out and affect your family, job, etc.) than be naked while they walk by.
case in point - we don't have curtains in the back of our house. we figure if someone is looking from across the lake (or from a boat in the lake) into our house, than they are probably looking to see people naked and by golly, they just saw us normal bodied naked people. so what. we do have curtains in the front, however. we do not go naked around the pool (naked in the pool though) during the day, as that is too visible (though our young kids do). eventually, we will plant some additional landscaping and than we can all be naked on the pool deck.

so i think you need to be the judge of your situation based on the local rules as well as your personal feelings.

florida david, I wish I had a pool I probablly wouldn't go to the beach, I enjoy being nude and nude sunbathing, I really don't care what people think of me at the beach, my neighbors at one time or an other have seen me nude, Iam nude in around my house as much as possible, but to make the papers and be seen as a pervert or whatever, in my very small community, that may cause problems. We used to go to this beach since I was a kid, will explain if asked, but in 2000, some do gooder decided to make a stink so signs were posted and people were ticketed, the signs were gone last summer, so I went back but with caution, I would hope to see some of the nudist crowd back this year. I wish we had a place to go without this problem. the other side is when we are allowd to sunbathe nude most of the passerby's are clothed and are tourists, so to speack.Well what do you think???

well, i am not one to be the lone renegade, so my personal response would be to not risk it since you live in a small town and this might hurt your family or business (since it sounds like this small town of yours is conservative). but maybe you could continue to go nude sunbathing there and let the "tourists" look and maybe some of the regular nudist towns folk will come back. especially if you have been going there nude since you were a kid, i would say the town should be used to it. now if the area is known for sexual activity (which is not good for naturist activity), than i would say to not go there or you might be risking arrest.

Very good advice Florida-David.

I am alot like you Riverrat,
I would love to be able to mow the lawn, hang the flag, and take out the trash in my/our natural state. I have even contemplated what would happen if I did... yet the fear of arrest is more frightening to me than embarassement(sp?). If you have been nude in this place you are refering, and no one has turned you in... then I say go for it. Be nude have fun! If these tickets you are talking about include more then misdomeanoers, I would think twice.

Now, before you take my advise too seriously, you must understand that my life allows me to be nude 88% of the time, so I don't need to take unnessesary risks.

There must be a county magestrate or somebody in the legal mumbo-jumbo there that can tell you if your aloud to be nude or not. Personally, I would find out from them so that you have a leg to stand on if something goes down. Keep your butt covered... in a sence only, keep it naked otherwise.

I have only lived here for 10 years, I've only been going to beach as an adult for about 5 or 6 years, yes I went there as a teen , it's a little differrant now, I won't stop going I just don't want to be a quassi nudist, I like being naked and don't want fear to make me cover up, hell I'm naked around my house alot, carefully, but alot. The beach was an acknowleged beach when I was old enough to drive, so it's not like it's a new thing, in the year 2000 the signs came out, now they are gone. I hope it's because of pressure from those who go there, I wrote AANR, and TSSA, I spoke with a spokesperson, the next thing I knew the signs were gone, but you still have to wonder, I wouldn't want me being arressted to get back to my small community, though maybe it wouldn't be all that bad, I love being nude and some who live close probably know that.anyway, the beach is beautful, and a great place to get naked, it's about 1 mile from the main beach and is probably 2 miles long from there, so if you are ever in northern NY and want a plce to go, write me for dirrections and take your chances, you'll like the beach.

Hello Suntied bart, I wish I lived where I could be 88% nude, put my flag out, feed my birds, and on and on, tonight, I was about to go out back and check the ice and snow on my back roof, being naked because thats how I hang out, I started out, fortunately my attached garage is not heated and I reallized I was unusually cold. Well not meaning to be a comedian, I realised I'm nude, though my neighbers on both sides have seen me nude, and sorta excepted it, It would be weird in 4' of snow and ice, so I didn't go out I finished the race, NASCAR, How great it would be if we could just do our day to day nude, wave to the neighber and passerbys and be nude and be happy.
