My wife and I are interested in trying out canoeing or kayaking. Are there any naturist canoeing or kayaking clubs within the Sacramento area?

I'm also in the Sacramento area - I know there is a group called RiverDippers. They have a web site, probably can find it with Internet search. Also, I believe it's listed as a non-landed club in N magazine.
I have "canuded" on Echo Lake - up Hwy 50 before Tahoe - and it's awesome. I've normally avoided weekends as it's a big family place. But, during the week, or later in the season, it's pretty easy. Most people cheered us on.
Good luck.

So what's all this nonsense about "most people are offended by nudity". If it's obviously non-sexual and non-threatening, then most people are more likely to find it amusing.
My second wife and I used to swim and canoe nude at a lake in the hills, inland from Perth. It was popular with locals and visitors, so we kept to the quiet end.
One time, we were in the kiosk, when the ranger came in. I asked him, all innocent, if anyone ever swam nude in the lake. He said, "Yes, I do", while the kiosk lady just smiled.

As Jimmyman51 noted the River Dippers have had canuding trips in the past. I have organized and led three of them on the Russian River. This year they are attempting to organize a river rafting trip. They also have a house boat trip every year. Here is the link. Check out thier calendar.

NorCalif Naturist, about the river dippers, about how big of a group are they? How many people go to an event on average? Not that it matters, but what is the ratio of males compared to females, and what is the average age of everyone there. I'm just trying to get a feel of the river dippers. I've checked out their website and if I ever get any free time I'm curious to go to a textile meeting. Thanks for a response.

Canuding is the best! I don't know of any clubs but I do belong to a Nude Canoeing group on yahoo. Most of the members are back east too.
So I do alot of canuding by myself.
This summer I'm planning a trip down the Upper Missouri River in Montana. 10 days, 149 nude miles!
Good luck and welcome to the fun.
My picture to the left, is from Glacier National Park.

I always wanted to try kayaking but I never really got the chance to try or anything. I'm just wondering if it can flip over or something also how do you get back up the river if the water currents are to strong?
When ever I watch a movie that has to do something with canoeing/kayaking the boats always flip over. I'm really not the best swimer so if that would happen to me I dont know if I could get back above the water. I might try it this summer with somer other people.

Yes, I am a member of River Dippers and went on a Canuding trip with them on the Russian River. This was about three years ago and they haven't done it since. I'm trying to get up some interest again so we can do it again. If interested let me know and I'll pulse the club to see if they will help us get it together.
