Congrats to whoever took and then chose today's photo of the day. A great photo and just makes me wish I was in it.

By the way any idea where shot was taken.

I agree Fuzz. I'd like to be in the shot.

Maybe I'll make it a goal to seek out and participate in some nude adventure this summer. I hope someone out there can feed us ideas and hold me to it. It'd be great.

I just hope the rapids weren't too stiff. Some of those folks aren't wearing the vests.

If you’re going to reference a particular picture of the day it’s wise to put the picture in the thread as tomorrow or next month everyone who reads the thread won't know what picture you’re talking about.

I've been on many raft trips, even a clothing optional trip on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. But I've never been on, or seen, a trip where it's PFD [Personal Flotation Device] optional when running the rapids

Excellent idea, Naked Gary. And thanks for posting the photo also.

Just be aware that because of the way POTD's are rotated, that photo is likely to change next month - unless the same photo is re-used.

If you want the photo to endure, you should attach a copy of it to your post rather than post a link.

Hmmm, that's true. And now that I re-look at the photo Gary posted above I realize the woman in front would lose that hat right away.

Look at the line of her back and that of the gentleman to her right against the background. And look at the pinky finger of her left hand. People don't hold a paddle that way.

Don't know how or why, but perhaps the image is another Photoshop masterpiece.

Still, I'd like to run some rapids sans-clothes.

                Photo advice:

So, Gary suggests posting the photo as a link to a post.
Mark suggests attaching the photo as an attachment to a post.

For those of us "non-geeks", how is the above done?

We will have to find out from corky if the link to "POD" changes or is replaced with the next POD.

                  Nu,

Go to the forum main page, click and open the Picture of the day. Right click on the opened picture, go down to the bottom where is says "Properties". A window will come up with the picture properties, size and web address or URL where it is. Hold down the left mouse button and highlight the picture URL. While highlighted right click and go down to copy. Then you can paste it in your browser window to go to that address and check and see if the picture comes up.

To post a URL link picture in a forum post you would insert into your post window:

Attachment method: [Or to save the picture to your system]:

Open picture of the day, right click and go down to "Save Picture as" and save to My Pictures or what ever folder you specify.

When you want to attach a picture to your post, at the bottom of the text entry window on full posts click "Add Attachment" A browse find window will come up go to the folder where you saved the picture and locate the picture file and click on it or enter it in the open window. When your done with the text entry hit post, and the attached image will be at the end of you your post. [you can again do a properties on that posted picture to find the attached URL/address on clothesfree [which I think stays until deleted by CFI admin] then you can post to anyone as a link or web URL

Todays picture was 173K which is over the 150k limit so I had to resize the picture in order for it to be attached and posted.

Photo album max picture or file size = 200K

Forum attachment file max size allowed = 150K

Hope all this helps you save, post, and attach images on CFI/The Forums.

Gary, I know for a fact that the URL of each POTD remains the same from month to month - that is, the url for the first day of the month always points to a file named 1b.jpg and for the second day is always 2b.jpg etc. This allowed me to first create this 'monthly photo link' calender over a year ago:

                    One month of Today's Photos:

                    Day 1....Day 2....Day 3....Day 4....Day 5....Day 6....Day 7

                    Day 8....Day 9....Day 10..Day 11..Day 12..Day 13..Day 14

                    Day 15..Day 16..Day 17..Day 18..Day 19..Day 20..Day 21

                    Day 22..Day 23..Day 24..Day 25..Day 26..Day 27..Day 28

                    Day 29..Day 30..Day 31

                      Naturist Mark

Your calendar system is nifty and easy when you post it, but saving the Link and/or Attachment URL is super easy if someone wants to save it on thier system and/or post it in a forum post.
The problem is if you save all to My Pictures for example the next month 19.jpg of the next month upon save will say that file is allready there. I just add something to it such as 19b or 19bb or anything to make it different. That works for me.

So how do you do this monthly photo link? save each POD then what?

I guess your monthly link can be copied right?

                          For Your Information F.Y.I

For those who use the UBB Codes for text color, insertions, image or URL insertions in your posts you can go to this link:

                          Link to UBB Codes listing

Or on Forums main page go to Tab "Tools/Help" down to Help, then to UBB. Then you can view, copy or print out the list for handy reference:

                          UBB Code

Not exactly, I copied the url for each photo and inserted it into the post - here's the code for week one:

                            [WRL=http://clothesfree.com/1b.jpg]Day 1....[WRL=http://clothesfree.com/2b.jpg]Day 2....[WRL=http://clothesfree.com/3b.jpg]Day 3....[WRL=http://clothesfree.com/4b.jpg]Day 4....[WRL=http://clothesfree.com/5b.jpg]Day 5....[WRL=http://clothesfree.com/6b.jpg]Day 6....[WRL=http://clothesfree.com/7b.jpg]Day 7

As the photos of the day for each day of the month are changed on the clothesfree server, the photo that is displayed using these links also changes. Thus this a perpetual POTD calender for the current month.

NOTE: "WRL" should actually be "URL", I used WRL in order to break the code to allow it to be printed on screen rather than executed. The UBB function
which is supposed to allow the posting of snippets of code doesn't work.

So "Naturist Mark" do you agree if one saves a POD to thier folder, then if wanted to attach to a forum post, it would have a unique URL that would stay on CFI's Server unless Admin. for some reason deleted it?

                              Attachment:

                              That URL below would be;

                              http://clothesfreeforums.com/eve/forums/a/ga/ul/6230060...mg/Y/19b_(Small).jpg
