Well, the time has come, the walrus said, to... move on. In the military we often move on and now it has finally happened to me. I'm heading up to the pacific northwest, Spokane Washington. I hope to buy a house there and would like to check out the naturist venues there. See you in the nudie papers. Good night and good luck. Any one up in Spokane Washington, please feel free to give me some advice on things to see and do.

Al,
Spokane is hell and gone from San O!!
Hope your move is an easy one without too many obstecles.
Though we never met in person at San O. hopefully we will meet, which seems so ironic, up at one of those nudist venues up in Washington or Oregon. We have three couples we are friends with up in that area who are also nudists, one in western Washington, the other two closer to the Washington/Oregon border.
Take care, don't be a stranger here. We all look forward to your experiences and first hand knowledge of all the nudie places to visit up there once you get settled and aquainted with the area.

Thanks FireProf,
I really regret never getting to meet up with you in person. From all your posts on here you sound like a helluva guy. I gotta go where I can afford to retire. This is going to be my twilight tour, end of the road for and old war horse. I'm not sure I can deal with the winter but I was raised in Oregon so I have a notion at least of what I am in for. I am really looking forward to buying my first house tons of places up there in the 150's and I like the idea of being close to Canada and Idaho and Montana. I'm gonna have to break out my old hunting gear and see if I can't bring home some venison or elk this fall. Like the man said, " when you gotta go, you gotta go." I have a million fond memories of SoCal and I would like to keep it that way. I feel if I hang around I will just get sour on the place, too expensive, too many stupid laws and too many people. Turn me loose, set me free somewhere near Spokane Wa. Take care and Good luck to you and the Prof.

Spokane is a nice town nestled in the mountains. I went to survival school there in January, survival for jungle deployment. That makes sense, be out there in the wilderness in 11 feet of snow, -27 at night making a shelter of pine bows. snow and a parachute fit for any jungle drop. Yup!
They made west coast Carling Bladk Label beer in Seattle. The very worst beer I ever had the misfortune to taste. Just be forewarned.
Aside from that Spokane is a very nice little town. Have fun!

Thanks for the well wishes folks.
My life has been pretty exicting lately which means busy and stressful. I have a bit more of that in store in the near future but I hope to find whatever it is I'm looking for. I promise to come back with an update once I get settled in but I think that might be mid summer.
Anyway thanks again and if anyone has any info on the nudist resorts or nude hotsprings up near Spokane feel free to post about them here.

Al,
I live in a pretty big city and I share your inclination to find a more natural place to "go natural".
I keep hearing good things about a particular hot spring about 50 miles east of Eugene, Oregon. Not so far from Spokane I think, that you couldn't go there from time to time: Called either Cougar Hot Spring or Terwilliger. It is worth looking into. You can find several sites that mention it on Google. For your convenience, I'll leave you with a link to these pages: Friends of Cougar and Terwilliger (Cougar) Hot Springs
Of course if the winters are too much for you, consider Georgia, South Carolina or Tennessee. There's a lot of woods yet to be settled. Atlanta's big, but the South is much bigger. Same goes for Nashville. We have a long swimming season and even longer nude season in this part of the world.
Best wishes in this new chapter of your life.

OK, a new gremlin needed, the saluting one.
Good luck Al. And try to find my friend up there. She moved with her family years ago and never wrote me with her address. Her name is Beth.
Good luck.
