  • Question about leagility of thongs!

Ok does anyone know if it is legal for a guy to wear a thong as long as his front section is completly covered at a public beach. Or do you know where I can find out so I dont get arrested for wearing a thong to the beach, thanks!

You need to find out who has jurisdiction at the beach you will be wearing this thong and look specifically at their laws. Rather easy to do online anymore. The Naturist Society has state laws on their site but this is probably something more local.

When I go to a beach I havn't been to before I ask the life guard (if there is one).
I've never attempted to wear a thong to any of them. A bikini suit is usually as skimpy as I dare go around the local beaches.
Local laws are the one's you need to be sure of.
Most state laws probably don't cover Dress codes.

I solved all that by only going to clothing optional beaches. I've not owned a swimsuit in many years.

Problem is , the closest C/O beach to me is a 6 hour drive.
But I'll be in Florida in less than 4 weeks.
                I can't wait.

Thats my problem, Haulover beach which is c/o is a 2hr drive and its extremely hard for me to make long drives. There is a beach 20mins from here but its clothing required damn lol!

                  Thanks Cyndann for the help!

I am not a lawyer, but the laws I have read about and researched have all said the same thing.

Florida law states, if the genitals, or rectum, or both, is exposed to the view of any one in public, then you are in violation of the law.

Some articles I have read do warn that each law enforcement officer may read this differently, simply because that officer does not approve of the life style you are living, that officer may be able to arrest you and leave it up to the courts. Most are aquitted, but you still have the fact that you were arrested for your lifestyle.

If you don't try and prove the wording of the law with the officer, usually, you will just be asked to put something on to cover more. Trust me, they take it as an arguement when you try to explain the law. It is an insult for them if any one knows the law better than they know it. And, when on the street, they are god, you can't win no matter what!

Best thing is to abide by the law, but when confronted by the law, do as asked and continue on down the road. Some battles are best fought on the run.

In LA it has to cover the genitals and pubic hair in front. Has to be at least two inches wide in back. But check your local laws. YMMV.

Naked in Florida, you need to move to NY, since our lady protesters, got the topples bill passed it also works for us guys, they can go toppless and were a thong, so since the derreare is common, men can also, at my beach it's common to see the ladies in a thong topless and men in a thong, we really arn't supposed to be nude, many of us push the envelope. I have been there nude many times, I guess lucky so far.I plan to visit Paradise lakes in February, Have you concidered Land o Lakes, there are many nude sites there, also Kissemie area(forgive the spelling not my strong suit Ive been scolded many times in here)

In Ohio thongs are legal, as is topfreedom for women. But you rarely if ever see such. String bikinis are common enough on the beach for young women, with board shorts or trunks for guys -not thongs or even 'speedos'. I've heard there are a few areas where thongs are worn and topfreedom is occasionally practiced such as at state beaches like Caesar's Creek, Hueston Woods, and Alum Creek. Common or not, thongs are legal everywhere in Ohio.

Thanks for the replies, but I was wondering, if I were to take the chance and wear a thong, isnt it quite revealing in the front for a guy, not that I care but others would. I mean you know um trying to be politically correct but it would show through in the front wouldnt it?

Not any more than any other tight suit. Assuming it is fully opaque. But since a thong only covers the genitalia it does highlight them more.
