the chat room is boring if nobody is there

  • #2
The first time I stopped in there there were two people, every other time there was nobody.

One of the things I used to be involved with was ham radio. That's a similar scenario to this forum where it can be hit or miss. But the way its handled there is that specific times are set up where people go to a specific frquency and chat. I suggest we set up a schedule in the same way.

Now naturally, that can be difficult. We're spread all over the world and to be honest there aren't many members, say a few thousand at most. There's also the issue of time zones.

So here's my idea to start off. Almost all the time zones in the world are co-ordinated as to the top of the hour (when the minute hand is pointing at the 12 or straight up). If it's the top of the hour in your time zone, then its the top of the hour in almost every other time zone in the world. My suggestion is that we all try to discipline ourselves to check into the chat room at the top of the hour whenever we are online. We're BOUND to get a few hits then.

It would take a bit of time to get this kicked off, but as more and more people become aware of it and get into the habit, I think you could see a healthy chat room activity start.

So, to review. If you are online at the top of the hour, be that noon or midnight or 3PM or 3AM, check into the chatroom and say "HEY!" to everyone there. It'll be fun...

See you in the chat room at the top of the hour!

Another rule but this one makes sense. Maybe that will bring more people chatting. I have been to the chat room many times but was alone but on occassion I did meet some other members and that was great when I did.

Lets see if this can make a positive change.

Is clothing optional in the chat room?

I've found a couple of other good chatrooms, which tend to be more busy than the one here. One is at NetNude and is just a text chat like on here, and the other is at www.butterflybabe.co.uk and is a userplane chat which allows the use of cams and mics, and it seems nice and genuine (ie not sexual) I've been in there a few times the past couple of days and it's cool to be able to chat to a few people and see them too, see that they're all enjoying being nude as much as yourself

This site looked to be on the sexual side to me. I did not use the chat room but I did explore the site. Some of the pics are of the sexual nature and some of the suggestions.

Ham radio operators -- VERY common in naturism.

In fact, one of the groups I belong to - Naturist New Hampshire - has a club call of NU1DE. We just did a demo at Eastover at the Eastern Gathering. It's my understanding that there's going to be another demo at the Canadian Naturist Festival as well.

Rich, if you get a chance, get over to a Maine Coast Solar Bares gathering once they start in November. You'll be in a room with around 40 people. Probably 15 are licensed amateurs (including me).

And here at Cedar Waters -- I'm writing to you from there right now -- there are several of us.
