Eastern Naturist Gathering, June 15-21 - anyone going?

mrslurk and I will be attending - probably from Wednesday-Sunday. It will be held in northeast Pennsylvania, in the Poconos - not far from Scranton/Binghamton...

Does anyone else have this - or other events - on their summer calendar?

My plan this year is to spend as many mornings & evenings as I can sitting out in my screened-in porch before the humidity & no-see-ums get too bad. I also hope to get in a few nude kayaking trips. Alas, I very likely will not get to do any group nude activities - visiting a resort or beach. It's just the season of life I'm in.

I just wanted to re-iterate - for a first-timer, these gatherings might be the way to go, if anyone has hesitancy about trying it for the first time in a social environment.

TNS is running the show - and of course, if you're a fan of 'N' magazine, I recommend that you join TNS (naturistsociety.com) where a membership brings you four issues of 'N' mailed to your home, discounts at many nudist parks and sites, and access and info on their social events.

The event is "clothing optional" - NOT nude-mandatory, so if you have a reluctant partner, he/she can come and attend, but know that a) there is no separate program for non-naturists and b) there is no separate set-aside "clothing mandatory" area. What this means is, if your wife or girlfriend is reluctant, she is free to come and attend and join in the fun, but she will have to see, and be around nude people.

There are events - opportunities to socialize and just have fun. Camping is available as is dorm space. We will be camping, I hope to see some of you there.

UPDATE - greetings from the Gathering. Having a great time in spite of bad weather - (cold, low 60s but things can go inside and go on.)

I was thinking of maybe going just Saturday, but man, the time came and went before I knew it. I couldn't have done it anyway, because I was really busy with work last week and just got caught up today. This week, things are dead, and I now have all the time in the world. Go figure.

Well, the weather tanked... we stayed in a tent ...and, it rained three nights out of the four. We were there from Wednesday evening through Sunday , only one nice day (Friday) and even then it was cool, but at least everything can move inside.

This year - 2016 - the event will be from June 13, concluding on Sunday morning June 19. We (tentatively) plan on being there June 16-19.

Rita and I will also be there from the 16th to the 19th. It will be our first time back to Westmont since its 2010 inaugural.

Good to see the both of you this weekend, after all these years --- also - we had GREAT weather... GREAT - never been better.
