More than 20 Travelites and friends from in and around Columbia as well as the SC upstate and NC made plans to attend the club's annual Fish Fry Patriots' Party and calendar confirmation. There was more than enough fish, hushpuppies, homemade lasagna, garlic bread, coleslaw, salmon balls, fried squash, and cherry chocolate ice cream.
Lots of sun, lots of laughter, and shade if it was desired. Larry's hot tub was often used was welcome after the meal. Unfortunately, no calories were melted away.
The calendar of events for 2008 was set and includes 2 new couples' properties. If you would like to adopt an event for your own, please let me know asap so I might get it onto the calendar.
The next Travelites' event will be on Sun., Sept. 23rd - a potluck lunch beginning at noon at our property. Please let me know if you'll be joining us for relaxation and camaraderie.
10/6 - Oktoberfest Celebration - wine & beer tasting, Bavarian theme potluck. The weather should remain warm enough to enjoy their pool. Time: 2pm
10/20 - Founder's Day celebration - 4pm at Cheri's - enjoy some appetizers & hot tub, carpool to resaturant at 6pm, return to enjoy chocolate cake.
10/27 - Halloween party
11/3 - Thanksgiving feast
11/17 - Lobster Bash & Oyster Roast - Ridgeway
12/8 - Winter Holiday party
