Glacier installation in Switzerland Weekend August 18/19 2007
"A glacier in Switzerland will be in the international spotlight on August 18/19. American installation artist Spencer Tunick and Greenpeace Switzerland are jointly organizing an installation on a Swiss glacier to draw attention to global climate change.

Receding glaciers are a clear indication of climate change, and Switzerland is especially affected. The installation will symbolize the vulnerability of the disappearing glaciers and the fragility of the human body. The images of the installation are intended to stir up emotions and to emphasize the naked truth: we have to act now."[/list] more

July 19, 2007 -- CALLING all nudists! Spencer Tunick - famous for taking photos of large crowds of naked people at landmarks around the world, often as authorities try to arrest him - is taking his tired act to a goose-pimply glacier in the Alps next month to highlight global warming. Greenpeace, which claims the glaciers in Switzerland will melt entirely by 2080, warns would-be nudists: "We aim to make this a climate-friendly event, so please come by public transport and don't fly." Americans better start swimming immediately.
