The View calls those who wish to work out Nude at gyms "disgusting"

One segment of the popular women's program The View, with Rosie O'Donnell et al, showed that gymnasium in Denmark(?) which had reserved time for those who wished to work out naked.

The screen showed a picture of two naked men (with black dots covering their genitals) working out - one on a stationary bike and the other on a treadmill.

When they showed it, the audience and the hostesses laughed. Rosie made a comment on older men's "thingies" descending and the guy better be careful "they" didn't get caught in the bicycle gears". OK, that was kind of funny, at the expense of guys of course.

Then they got into the comments about how ridiculous and disgusting it all looked, about who cleans off the seats, as well as some remarks about older men being incontinent etc.

All in good fun.

Well, now, you know you are NOT going to hear any gay jokes on The View, you are not going to hear any ethnic jokes on The View, but hey, naturists (called "nudies" on the show) are fair game.

So who is for enlightening Rosie and company (For the record, Barbara Walters was not on this show, but comedienne Joy Behar was).

Call the view and tell them you've got nothing to hide.

Well, first of all I don't have time to watch this "trashy' kind of a show. And I being a naturists (nudist) myself don't get intimidated by low class people like them because I don't level with them.

Their comments/reaction about what they featured in that particular show segment is an absolute hypocrisy. Why? let's see how they will react if they feature nudists who possess "a perfect" body based from media standards. Young nudists women with "coca cola" shaped bodies for Rosies eyes, and young hunky nudists men for the eyes of the "so called straight" women.

Gals, you shouldn't either! A show with four men on it, talking the same way these four women do would NEVER be allowed on TV. Serious double standard if you ask me.

Ignoring this ignorant type of broadcasting is the best way to handle such shows, IMO.

Well, actually my dog was watching it and I happened to walk into the room.
Thing is the men who were shown weren't in bad shape at all. I mean, not bad for people old enough to be in the AARP, not Sylvester Stallone or Ahnold 60ish physiques, but certainly not blubbery.
That's why I resented them being called "disgusting". I mean, I'm in decent shape and I'm pushing sixty. Ok, there are still two little love handles, but If my wife didn't have those to hold onto I'd fall off and hurt myself.

I mean, if Rosie showed up at our beach and got natural, I wouldn't call her body disgusting.
And she grew up not far from Lighthouse Beach.

You got to look at who was talking. It all sounds like Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah to me when she opens her mouth anyway. Just like everything on TV, cram one side of the story down the viewers throats and dont let them even come close to thinking there could be another side to it. I tolerate less TV and news all the time because of shows like the VIEW. If she thought talking good about nudist would up the ratings you can bet they would be all over it.

I have only seen a few short segments of The View. Usually when I'm installing a customers cable TV. [yeah, no joke I'm a cable guy]. What I have noticed about her is that she tolerates no opinion contrary to hers. If someone tries to offer a contrary opinion she verbally walks all over that person.

I think Rosie is disgusting...not because of her looks...but because of her behavior toward others...she always seems to be demeaning other people...in a way she herself would not appreciate if the tables were turned...she lives in a glass house..and should not throw stones...JMHO
